Hebei made the first interception of the double-white-banded wild borer Hymenia perspectalis

It was learned from the official website of the Hebei Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that in February, the Langfang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau intercepted the double white-banded wild borer Hymenia perspectalis from the red spruce plates and veneers imported from the United States, which was the first time that the biological system was intercepted in Hebei.

According to reports, the double-leucorred wild borer Hymenia perspectalis belongs to the white-banded wild borer hymenia, and the approximate species is the beet white-banded wild borer Hymenia recurvalis that is widely distributed in China and seriously endangers beets. The Species, known in English as Spotted Beet Webworm Moth, also has a habit of harming beets, with reports of harming beets in the United States and Argentina, as well as potatoes, amaranth and various greenhouse plants. The larvae have the habit of nocturnal infestation. The intercepted double-white-banded borer is widely distributed in Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Jamaica, comoros, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, the United States and Argentina. China has only sporadic reports in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Guangdong and Hainan, and it is not widely distributed at present.

The Langfang Bureau has quarantined the goods carrying the double white-belted borer Hymenia perspectalis.
