On May 18, Qian Lin, member of the Standing Committee of the County CPC Committee, director of the Propaganda Department and deputy county magistrate, went to the Sigao Village Committee of Miaohuang Township to carry out a visit and research activity on promoting the high-quality development of the ancient pa tea industry and "learning from the history of the party and practicing the 'three new' to promote development".
Qian Lin and her party walked into the tea garden of the Sigao Village Committee, inspected the growth of tea on the spot, and learned from the tea farmers about the varieties of tea, production processes, planting areas, sales channels, development prospects, and existing problems and difficulties. During the visit and investigation, Qian Lin hoped that the local government could increase the support for the ancient pipa tea industry, encourage the masses to plant high-quality tea, expand the planting area of tea; guide tea farmers to go out to learn, master advanced tea planting and production technology, and then increase the production of ancient pipa tea and improve the quality of tea; we should pay attention to the brand building of ancient pipa tea, increase the value of tea, and help tea farmers increase their income.
It is understood that tea is one of the world's three major drinks, with more than 60 tea-producing countries and regions in the world, and a tea drinking population of more than 2 billion. In December 2019, the United Nations General Assembly announced the designation of 21 May as International Tea Day to promote the sustainable development of global agriculture. May 21 this year is the second "International Tea Day", on the same day, our county will organize a series of publicity and promotion activities such as tea picking, tea appreciation, tea roasting, tea tasting and so on in the Sigao Village Committee, deepening the integration and mutual learning of tea culture, expanding the influence of ancient pipa tea, and improving the popularity of ancient pipa tea.
