Michael Carter Williams underwent ankle surgery and missed the start of next season

According to The Athletic reporter Josh Robbins, multiple sources revealed that Magic player Michael Carter Williams underwent surgery on his left ankle, repaired a ligament and removed a bone fragment, and he will be absent from the beginning of next season.

Magic officials did not give Michael Carter Williams a comeback time, he is currently in a state of uncertain return date, but is expected to make a full recovery.

In the 2020-21 season, Michael Carter Williams averaged 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
