Zhu Hua was born in An art family in Wuhan, her parents are literary and art workers, and she grew up in the Wuhan Song and Dance Theater, and later she became a singer, and her brother became a sound engineer. Zhu Hua's original wish was to be a dancer, and due to a mistake, he became a singing class and entered the Wuhan Conservatory of Music to study ethnic vocal music, under the tutelage of Professor Feng Jiahui. At the age of 16, by chance, Zhu Hua's keyboard teacher recommended her to audition in a song produced by Su Yue. Su Yue was touched by Zhu Hua's beautiful voice and immediately decided to publish 2 solo albums for her, so she was lucky to step into the music scene.

In 1985, Zhu Hua published "Zhu Hua Album", in 1987 published "Dream Boy", and in 1988 published "Love in The Song" solo album. At the same time, she participated in the first, second and third "Let the World Be Full of Love" large-scale 100 singer concerts, and served as the lead singer and soloist, first singing Su Yue's work "The Nameless Road" and Guo Feng's "Let Me See You Again". In 1991, he participated in the recording of the album "Red Sun 1-5" by China Record Corporation, which sold more than 7.2 million copies. He then signed with Chia Tai International, becoming one of the first singers to sign with a domestic record label.

The 1994 album Phoenix and The Butterfly was hailed as "highly artistic in pop music".

In 1995, as a representative of the Chinese side, Zhu Hua participated in the "China-Japan Song Festival" organized by NHK Television in Japan, performing the A Capella version of "Phoenix and Butterfly", and won the "New Force of Chinese Pop Music" Most Personalized Interpretation Award in the same year.

In 1996, he won the "Ten Years of Retrospective Achievement Award in the Chinese Pop Music Scene", in 1997, he went to Hong Kong to participate in the "Second Asian International Music Festival in Hong Kong" and won the "Silver Award for Interpretation of Works and the Special Award of the Jury", launched the experimental and avant-garde, lyrics selected from Tagore's original poem "As if", the style of the more unusual "Imaginary Dance" and accepted an exclusive interview with BBC reporters. In the "Broadway Selection" produced by Fei Xiang, she served as the female voice of the Chinese version of "Phantom of Singing" and "Can't Live Without You", and the two songs of "So Attentive" and "Wings of Dreams" in 1998 won the first place in the national radio list, including the Chinese original song list jointly organized by 84 radio stations across the country, and won the championship for four weeks, and "Wings of Dreams" won the BEST SONG Award of CHANNEL V Shenzhou Music.

In 2000, she began to serve as the designated female guest of Fei Xiang's domestic and foreign concerts. In 2001, in the program "How Precious Tonight" was launched in Shanghai, which mainly covered the early popular old songs of Teresa Teng, Luo Dayou and others, Zhu Hua not only sang several old songs live at the same time as the symphony in each issue, but also served as the host. The show's ratings topped the list for two weeks.

In 2003, the single "Click" won the top 15 gold songs on the Chinese Song Chart.

In 2004, the Chinese version of "Phantom of the Singing Voice" was selected by Andrew Webber as the Asian promotion song of the American film "Phantom of the Opera". From 2004 to 2006, he accompanied the Chinese Ministry of Culture to the United States, Canada, Auckland, Sydney, and many countries to perform in condolences, during which he won the Best Film Song Award of the Government Huabiao Award for the theme song of the movie "Shocking Waves" "The Man Who Was a Soldier There", and "Year after Year" cooperated with Teacher Zhang Li won the Golden Eagle Festival Excellent Film and Television Song Award.

In 2006, Zhu Hua held a press conference in Beijing to sign a contract with Century Nebula, and released her first single, "Starry Night" Limited Edition EP. In 2008, he cooperated with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra to participate in the National Day Celebration Concert. In 2009, as a soloist, he participated in the New Year's Concert and Ye Xiaogang Concert with the China National Symphony Orchestra.

In 2010, he went to New York to participate in the "China-US Hand in Hand TV Gala", sang "In That Distant Place" with Three Winner Harry Connick Jr. of Grammy at the Manhattan Center Theater, and cooperated with Fei Xiang on "The Phantom of Singing". At the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Zhu Hua and Harry Connick Jr. sang the song again at the U.S. Pavilion. In the same year, Zhu Hua released the song "Nini", which focuses on the emotions of people and dogs.

In 2015, Zhu Hua and Ruan Xinghang participated in the premiere ceremony of "Phantom of the Theater".
