According to the Actors Working Committee of the China Television Association, du Yu, a famous performing artist, died of lung cancer at home in Harbin at 5:00 a.m. on February 21, 2020, at the age of 79. Du Yulu's last words to the world were: "The universe is so big, we will still meet."
Du Yulu, born on January 1, 1941, is a national first-class actor, a member of the Chinese Drama Association, and a former actor of the Harbin Drama Theatre, who has won the Feitian Award for Outstanding Contribution Actor and Outstanding Actor.
Du Yulu has played many heavyweight roles, and the role span is very large: from general to bandit, from anti-corruption to huge greed, many of which have left a deep impression on the audience.
He grew up living in Harbin with his parents, graduated from the Harbin Academy of Arts in 1960, and in the same year entered the Harbin Drama Theatre to become a drama actor, playing the main roles in the stage plays "Songtao Qu", "Dead Ring" and "Harbin at Night".
