The New Sayings of the I Ching (Preface)

preface

In the process of the evolution of life, whether it is the lowest level of life such as single-celled bacteria, or the highest level of life, human beings, life is always exchanged with the outside world until the end of life. From nature, back to nature, has become the nutrient of other life, the so-called "dust to dust, soil to the soil", "falling red is not a merciless thing, into spring mud more protective flowers." In this cycle of life and death, death and death, life continues to explore, adapt to the surrounding environment, and finally change the surrounding environment.

Human beings, as the highest level of life on the earth, after billions of years of evolution, the various organs of the body have evolved more balancedly, in addition to having the ability to see, feel, hear, taste, etc., they also have extremely high intelligence, making other life beyond reach. In our country, in ancient times, human beings began to explore the mysteries of the universe, looking up at the heavens, looking down at geography, studying human beings themselves in the middle, summing up the theories of heaven and dry earth, bagua, yin and yang, five elements, etc., and after thousands of years of practice and perfection, developed into a systematic world view, and thus deduced a complete and profound Chinese culture.

One of the most famous doctrines is the "I Ching", which is a summary of the ancient people's understanding of nature, forming the idea of "the unity of heaven and man", which is the source of many academic ideas in China and the basis of traditional culture, so it is also revered as the "first of the Qunjing". There are originally three copies of the "I Ching", "Lianshan Yi" and "Guizang Yi" in the Fuxi era, and the "Zhou Yi" of the Zhou Dynasty, and the "I Ching" that we can see at present is "Zhou Yi", and the other two are unknown and may always be a mystery.

The contents of the Zhou Yi include two parts, the "Classic" and the "Biography", the "Classic" is mainly sixty-four gua and three hundred and eighty-four yao, and the gua and the gua have their own explanations (卦辞, 爻辞), which are used for divination. The "Biography" contains seven kinds of texts explaining gua ci and yao ci in a total of ten chapters, collectively known as the "Ten Wings".

According to some modern research sources, Fuxi may refer to a clan; "Zhou Yi" is said to be the experience of King Wen of Zhou studying the "I Ching" when he was imprisoned in The Qi (There), but it may also be a work of fusion during the Qin and Han Dynasties; the "Ten Wings" is said to have been written by Confucius, but it is generally believed that it was formed in the Qin and Han Dynasties, not from the hands of one person at a time. Just like the "Mao Zedong Thought" often said now, it does not refer to the thought of Mao Zedong alone, but to the ideological system of a group of people represented by Mao Zedong.

After thousands of years of development, the I Ching has done a good job in terms of use (prediction), and can even make accurate predictions about the future development of things, just like the weather forecasting with large electronic computers now, but it is still not clear in terms of principles. Why did a painting begin? Why are two instruments born? Why do two instruments give birth to four elephants? Why do the four elephants give birth to gossip again? Why did gossip become sixty-four, and what can it become next? Why is it that dryness is heaven, Kun is earth, earthquake is thunder, Sunda is wind, kan is water, separation is fire, Gen is mountain, and exchange is Zee? Among the sixty-four trigrams, why is the "no" gua qian shang kun down and the "Tai" gua is kun shang qian down? All of this, there is no detailed and accurate explanation, or each family has its own statement, and some of the statements are contradictory, so that many people can't understand it. In the words of Lao Tzu, it is "xuanzhi and xuan, the door of all wonders." This seems to violate the "easy" in the I Ching and become "not easy".

The author was born in the early days of reform and opening up, bathed in the spring breeze of the party, personally felt the development process of the republic from decline to prosperity, and was very fortunate to go to school and systematically learn the knowledge of natural sciences. The natural sciences are a huge productive force that has promoted the development of the economy and thus promoted the progress of human civilization, and the achievements achieved are obvious to all the people of the world. The most important thing in natural science is to "seek truth from facts", why is this, why is it so, from theory to practice, every step is justified. Based on this spirit and love for the traditional culture of the motherland, the author would like to use the knowledge he has learned to explain the sixty-four gua of the I Ching from the perspective of the origin of the universe and the evolution of life.

The theoretical basis of this book is Einstein's mass-energy equation, before I wrote this book, I was a food engineer born of microorganisms, a typical science and engineering man, who knew very little about the I Ching, and had not even read the original text of the I Ching. Regarding the book "I Ching", the author currently has three copies (sets) on hand, one "Vernacular I Ching" published by China Folk Literature and Art Publishing House in 1989, the author is the "Vernacular I Ching Compilation Group" with no specific name; a set of "History of Chinese Philosophy" published by Chongqing Publishing House in 2009 (volume 1 and 1), written by Feng Youlan; and one is "Miscellaneous Sayings of the I Ching" published by Fudan University Press in 2016, and the author is Nan Huaijin. I also collected some information from the Internet, but it was too complicated. Therefore, the author is a layman of the I Ching, with zero foundation. When the author showed the gossip diagram he drew to the teacher who studied the "I Ching", the teacher said that the author was smart, and he did not even understand the basic common sense of the "I Ching", and dared to write a book, which was really ridiculous and generous. More teachers said that this is the rhythm of "punching the mountains and returning to Tibet, kicking Zhou Yijingfang". However, his attribution to him does not prevent me from studying the I Ching and writing out my own ideas. Because of the limited knowledge, there will certainly be many mistakes, and I kindly ask all teachers to criticize and correct. If there are teachers who agree with the author's ideas, please support and encourage the teachers; if you offend the teachers, please ask the teachers to be Haihan. Thank you!
