Yesterday, on the occasion of the 100-day countdown to the Beijing Winter Olympics, the State Grid Corporation's Winter Olympic Power Guarantee Service Center was officially opened. The Beijing Winter Olympic Power Operation Guarantee Command Platform, which is co-ordinated and developed by the State Grid Corporation of China and implemented by State Grid Beijing Electric Power, is synchronously put into operation, realizing the first digital and intelligent panoramic monitoring of the power business field in the history of the Olympic Games, and comprehensively supporting the power supply guarantee work of the Winter Olympic Test Games and official competitions.
The State Grid Winter Olympic Power Guarantee Service Center is located in The Shougang Park of Shijingshan. On the large screen of the command platform on the second floor, a colorful map is marked with information on important points such as various Winter Olympic venues, converter stations, and routes between venues. Through the command platform, the staff can real-time transfer the power guarantee operation of each venue, point and important line.
The Winter Olympic Power Guarantee Service Center is an important hub for the Winter Olympic Power Protection Command of the State Grid Corporation, among which the self-developed "smart brain" Beijing Winter Olympic Power Operation Guarantee Command Platform can realize the real-time monitoring and unified regulation of the power operation of 25 venues in the three competition areas of Beijing and Zhangjiakou during the Winter Olympic Games, guide the venue power team to carry out inspection duty and emergency disposal, and ensure the smooth development of the power supply guarantee work of the Winter Olympic venues.
According to reports, the Beijing Winter Olympic Power Operation Support Command Platform is based on three-dimensional panoramic digital sand table modeling, which is a collection of power grid information, Winter Olympic events, venue energy, urban operation and other advantageous resources in one, using digital twins, knowledge graphs, intelligent voice and other cutting-edge technologies, innovative construction of unified monitoring, command, display system, to fully meet the needs of efficient command and dispatch. At the same time, it provides data interaction and decision-making support in the field of power business for the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee to ensure the efficient operation of the power supply guarantee system for the Winter Olympics.
"The platform accesses a total of 29 business systems of the company, combs and classifies 187 indicators such as power grids, support, materials, and green electricity, covers all Winter Olympic venues and power supply and distribution networks, and extends the reliable guarantee service to the 'last centimeter' of the power supply at the end of the venue, just like a 'smart brain' guarding the sensitive 'nerve endings' of power equipment, always sensing the operating status of the equipment and the internal and external environment, helping the commanders to make decisions quickly and overall, and comprehensively improving the quality and efficiency of power supply service guarantees." Xu Jian, deputy director of the State Grid Beijing Electric Power Winter Olympics Office, said.
At present, the "Meet in Beijing" Series of Winter Olympics test activities are being held in full swing. Combined with the overall arrangement of the Winter Olympics testing activities, the State Grid Beijing Electric Power invested 10,560 power supply personnel, organized the establishment of a three-level command system of the general command headquarters, the on-site command center, and the venue support team, and made every effort to ensure the smooth operation of the capital power grid and provide a stable, reliable and flexible power supply for the Beijing Winter Olympics.
