Treasure hunters' clothes eventually fall prey for fans. Harrison Ford's tweed hat in "Legend of the Devil's Palace of the Lost Ark" sold for $300,000 at an auction in Los Angeles.
The auction house expects the hat to fetch $150,000 to $200,000, and the final price is much higher than the estimated price of the hat. The identity of the buyer is currently unknown.
This tweed hat is an improved version of the hat from the original Raiders of the Lost Ark, created by costume designer Anthony Powell and assistant designer Joanna Johnston in collaboration with The Herbert Johnson Hat Company. This tweed hat is well maintained and has only minor wear and ageing.
However, the price of this hat is far less than that of the original film, and the tweed hat worn by Harrison Ford in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" sold for $500,000 in 2015.
