The red carpet ceremony of the 11th Beijing International Film Festival was held at 17:00 on September 20, 2021 at the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center. The red carpet ceremony will invite more than 200 guests to step on the red carpet to join the grand event.
Gong Li, chairman of the jury of the "Temple of Heaven Award", and Judges Chen Kun, Chen Zhengdao, Urshan and Zhang Songwen took the lead in their appearances, and the powerful aura attracted attention. Two other foreign judges, director Rennie Haring and director Nadine Labaki, did not appear on the red carpet abroad.
The Organizing Committee of the 11th Beijing International Film Festival is facing the world and collecting excellent films produced after January 1, 2020. In the end, 15 films were shortlisted, 3 in China and 12 in foreign films. They are: Chinese film "Everything About My Mother", Finnish film "This Time of Love", Japanese film "The Parking Lot of Life", Argentine film "School on Vessel Hill", Russian film "Siege Diary", Chinese film "If One Day I Will Leave You", Chinese film "Above the Clouds", Swiss/German co-production film "Caged Bird", Russian/Estonia/British/Italian co-production film "Conference", Indian/French co-production "The Last Film Screening", Australian film "The Last Film Screening", Australian film "Caged Bird". "Distant Moon Rock Walk", French/Côte d'Ivoire/Canada/Senegal co-production film "Night of the King", Romanian film "The Old Woman Who Cannot Rest in Peace", French/Belgian co-production "Snow Girl", Danish film "Oath". These shortlisted films constitute a wonderful and eclectic audiovisual feast, and build a bridge of communication for cooperation and exchange between Chinese and world films.
