In his lifetime, Lu Xun made significant contributions in many fields such as literary creation, literary criticism, ideological research, literary history research, translation, introduction of art theory, introduction of basic science, and collation and research of ancient books. He has a major influence on the development of Chinese society, ideology and culture after the May Fourth Movement, and is well-known in the world literary circles, especially in the fields of Korean and Japanese ideology and culture, and has an extremely important position and influence, and is known as "the writer who occupies the largest territory on the cultural map of East Asia in the twentieth century".

In 1936, Mr. Lu Xun's physical condition was getting worse and worse. Since the beginning of the year, some of Lu Xun's old diseases have recurred, and he is often bedridden, which makes the people around him very sad. In March of the same year, Mr. Song Qingling, who learned of the matter, immediately entrusted someone to send food to show condolences. In Lu Xun's diary on March 23, He wrote: "I received a letter from Mrs. Sun and gave three kinds of sugar and a box of tea. ”
Although the mainland new village where Mr. Lu Xun's family lives has a pleasant living environment and the interior of the apartment is well-equipped and convenient, the humanistic conditions are very worrying. There is a group of foreigners living in the new villages on the mainland, and some Japanese naughty children often bully Zhou Haiying. After hearing that his children had been repeatedly bullied, Mr. Lu Xun had considered moving. After learning of Mr. Lu Xun's intentions, Ms. Song Qingling entrusted an acquaintance to find a safe place for Lu Xun's family in the Ye Family Garden in Jiangwan, Shanghai.
This Ye family garden was originally built by a wealthy businessman surnamed Ye in Zhejiang, which not only has a movie field, a golf course, but also a racecourse and a dance hall. Later, because this "night garden" often held social activities, day and night, the British living nearby reported the situation to the municipal government, so the municipal government ordered the garden to be closed. After graduating from abroad, the son of a wealthy merchant returned to the garden to build a hospital and used the old garden site as a sanatorium.
For Mr. Lu Xun, who has been suffering from illness, this Ye Family Garden is simply the most suitable. Ms. Song Qingling said that during Mr. Lu Xun's stay here, all the expenses required were borne by her. Mr. Song Qingling's care for his friends can be described as very benevolent. However, at this time, Mr. Lu Xun was busy compiling and repairing the "Above Forest of the Sea" left by Qu Qiubai, so he did not accept The good intentions of Ms. Song Qingling and chose to politely refuse.
When Lu Xun's life came to an end, Song Qingling happened to be in the hospital because of an appendicitis attack. During Smedley's visit to Song Qingling in the hospital, he revealed to him that Mr. Lu Xun was critically ill. Song Qingling was quite anxious, and she pulled open the quilt several times, wanting to get out of bed to visit her friends. However, under the obstruction of medical staff, Ms. Song Qingling was unable to achieve her wish.
In desperation, she could only let her most trusted friend write and send a long letter to Lu Xun by dictation, persuading her friend to receive treatment as soon as possible:
"I beg you to go to the hospital immediately!" Because if you delay by one day, you mean that your life is increased by one day of danger!! Your life is not your own, but belongs to China and the Chinese revolution!!! For the sake of the future of China and the Chinese revolution, you have the need to preserve and cherish your body, because China needs you, and the revolution needs you!!!! ”
In this letter, a large number of exclamation points appear, and each exclamation point here is ms. Song Qingling's urgent care. Unfortunately, the creation of people, the great literary hero is still knocked down by the disease, suddenly died.
Although Mr. Lu Xun has passed away, the banner of the "Left Alliance" that he represents cannot collapse because of this, and Mr. Lu Xun's light must still shine. In view of the fact that Feng Xuefeng and Pan Hannian were still busy working underground during this period and could not show their faces, Song Qingling decided to personally organize a grand funeral for Mr. Lu Xun.
The place where Mr. Lu Xun was buried is the Cemetery of All Nations on Hongqiao Road. In Shanghai at that time, it was the largest first-class cemetery. In this cemetery, not only the Governor, the Minister of Shangshu, and the Daotai were buried, but even Ms. Song Qingling's parents were buried here. Ms. Song Qingling personally selected a resting place for Mr. Lu Xun and ordered a high-priced translucent coffin. According to the Ta Kung Pao at the time, the coffin selected by Ms. Soong Ching Ling was worth 900 yuan, and the cost of the tomb was as high as 580 yuan.
Lu Xun's wife, Xu Guangping, was so saddened by her husband's death that she was unable to take care of the funeral. Considering the matter behind her friend, Ms. Song Qingling took the initiative to stand up and take the lead in handling all the chores and bear a fee. According to Hu Feng, after the funeral of Mr. Lu Xun, he once visited Lu Xun's widow and saw a thick envelope containing paper money on the coffee table at home, with the words "Comrade Zhou" written by Sun Yat-sen himself.
The size and details of the funeral were all finalized by Ms. Song Qingling. The funeral procession departs from Jiaozhou Road, passes through Beijing Road, and finally arrives at the Cemetery of All Nations, a route that takes about two hours. If it were not for Ms. Soong Ching Ling's presence, the authorities would have intercepted it. Due to the long distance and the fact that this route passes through several downtown areas, the number of people sending mr. Lu Xun's funeral has increased, from the initial thousands to tens of thousands later.
The mourners sang elegy together, accompanying this great literary hero who laid the foundation for modern Chinese literature through the last journey of his life. Until 1952, the Ministry of Culture of East China and other relevant departments chose to build a new tomb near Lu Xun's former residence and Hongkou Park. In January 1956, the State Council decided to relocate Lu Xun's tomb on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his death. At a cost of 900,000 yuan, on October 14, 1956, the coffin removal ceremony of Lu Xun's coffin was held in the auditorium of the Cemetery of All Nations, and the unveiling ceremony of Lu Xun's statue was held at Lu Xun's tomb after the ceremony.
Although Mr. Lu Xun has passed away, his writing and spirit will live on forever and will be admired by future generations forever.
