Landu Auto releases amber and mica battery safety technology

author:Global Times Auto Weekly

A few days ago, Lantu Automobile launched the core technologies of amber and mica two major battery systems in the world, and announced the active and passive safety series technical solutions of Lantu Automobile in battery system safety, and at the same time carried out strict safety tests such as extrusion, collision and high temperature water in the laboratory of China Automobile Center for the application of the new self-developed battery system technology.

In the thermal diffusion test of the battery system according to the new national standard, after the thermal runaway of the battery cell, the two major battery system technologies of amber and mica not only achieve "5 minutes without fire", but also further achieve 30 minutes or even stand for 50 days "no fire, no explosion".

Landu Auto releases amber and mica battery safety technology

At the press conference, Lu Puti, CEO of Lantu Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., said at the press conference: "As a new energy 'national team', Lantu adheres to the value of user safety first, takes the 'user concept' as the strategic choice of the enterprise, and starts from the four dimensions of user safety, user value, user experience and user co-creation to become a sustainable user-oriented technology enterprise." ”

In order to achieve and exceed the thermal diffusion safety performance required by the national standard, while maintaining a balance of energy density, cost and safety, Lantu has created two core battery PACK core technologies of amber battery system and mica battery system. According to reports, amber and mica battery systems use high-quality ternary lithium batteries. Based on the industry's only dual-power route solution, Lando applies the new self-developed amber battery system technology to landast free pure electric version, and mica battery system technology to land map free range extended range version.

In this test, Lantu amber and mica battery systems have passed the tests of extrusion, collision impact, and high temperature water with several times the standard of exceeding the national standard. The safety standard of the new national standard thermal runaway test is 5 minutes, and the performance of the Lantu battery system exceeds the national standard by 6 times, which is nearly 1 times higher than the industry's common 17 minute thermal runaway time.

"The leading battery system technology stems from Lantu's ever-expanding R&D team." Huang Min, director of new energy technology of Lantu Automobile, said, "At present, Lantu has built a young but experienced battery research and development team. They come from all over the world, more than 60% have master's and doctoral degrees, and many have served more than 20 well-known companies such as CATL for a long time. ”
