Jiang Zhuying
Will you often think of Jiang Zhuying? People at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences replied: "There is no need to remember, because I have never forgotten." ”
Jiang Zhuying, born in 1939 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, graduated from the Department of Physics of Peking University in 1962, and then was admitted to the graduate school of Mr. Wang Daheng, a famous optical expert in China. In 1965, Jiang Zhuying entered the Institute of Optics and Machinery of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to engage in optical research.
In 1965, Jiang Zhuying led the research team to establish China's first optical transfer function measurement device, which solved a major problem for the development of optical lenses. In the 1970s, the restoration technology of Color Television in China lagged behind, resulting in serious color distortion. Jiang Zhuying and Wang Daheng worked together to tackle the problem, put forward a new solution to the quality of color restoration, and finally broke through this technical difficulty, so that people could see color television with clear images and vivid colors.
Jiang Zhuying has the courage to explore, study hard, and endure hardships in scientific research, but in the face of interests, he always thinks of himself last. He once helped his colleagues revise their papers over and over again, but did not let his own name be mentioned when published; the scientific research results achieved by working with others were valued by the optical community, and when he was invited to make academic reports, Jiang Zhuying let the comrades who cooperated with him go and give the honor to others.
In 1982, when Jiang Zhuying went to Chengdu, Sichuan Province to inspect the space simulation device of the X-ray Astronomical Telescope, he died on June 15 at the age of 43 due to fatigue at work. Marshal Nie Rongzhen wrote an inscription for him "Excellent Representative of Intellectuals".
