The situation in Syria has become more complicated since the Turkish army entered Syria in the name of counterterrorism to launch the so-called "Source of Peace" operation. After the Turkish army entered Syria, the Syrian Free Army cooperated with the Turkish army to seize and control the northern Syrian border city of Jala Bruce and the towns of Azaz and Bab.

The Conquest Front, which originally belonged to al-Qaida' armed forces, gained unprecedented covert support after the U.S. coalition entered Syria. At one point, the Russian-Syrian coalition encircled the "Conquest Front" in Idlib Province. Due to the existence of extremist armed groups such as the "Conquest Front" and the Free Syrian Army, it is difficult to achieve the peaceful reunification of Syria.
Assad is outraged that some extremist groups have not only undermined the reunification process, but have also prevented Syrian refugees from leaving the conflict buffer zone. The purpose of the United States in supporting the "Conquest Front" and the "Liberation of Sham" for its own use is obvious. That is to overthrow the Assad government and establish a pro-American Syrian regime. Assad knows that if he does not strike decisively, eliminate pro-American forces, and expel U.S. troops, then he may become the next Saddam Hussein. That year, the United States launched a war against Iraq on the grounds that Saddam Hussein regime had hidden weapons of mass destruction, and Saddam Hussein was sent to the gallows.

Second, Assad can only unify Syria if he relies on Russia's support and resolves to expel foreign powers. But Putin would not have imagined that Russia would be mired in the quagmire of war in Syria. If Putin withdraws his troops from Syria, Russia's strategic efforts will be in vain.
