"Drive through Jimo Road, buy drunk to climb jufu building." This is the couplet inscribed by "Jufu Lou" on a whim when Zheng Xiaoxu was passing through Qingdao in 1926 when he was feasting on his colleagues in Jufu Lou. Who is Zheng Xiaoxu? He was an old man of the Sunqing Dynasty, a great calligrapher, when he passed through Qingdao in 1926, he was already the prime minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zheng Zigong studied in The East and the West, only high eight buckets, his words were not easy to show people, he wrote four words for the "Bank of Communications" of China at that time, four thousand silver, the first edition of "Etymology" printed in 1915, he collected a pen fee of five hundred and two silver, for the Commercial Press required that when it was inscribed, it should be marked that the inscription was in "a certain year of the Republic of China", which angered the great Qing courtier, and he burned the ink treasure on the spot. The 10,000 taels of silver pen polishing fee agreed upon were also in vain.

The boss Gao Xue once regarded the couplet as a treasure and hung it in the eighth hall of the upper floor, and since then the reputation of "Jufu Building" has spread far and wide, and he has become the boss of Chinese food in Qingdao Port.
In the 1920s and 1930s, there were more than a dozen first-class hotels in Qingdao. Among them, there were nine Chinese restaurants, and there were "four major restaurants" and "five major restaurants" at that time. Among the "four major restaurants", in addition to "Jufu Building", there are also "Shunxing Building", "Chunhe Building" and "Sansheng Building".
Gao Xuezeng: From Fushan, the hometown of cooking, he was originally a famous chef in the "Shunxing Building" on Beijing Road, cooking shark fin soup, sea cucumber, bird's nest, braised jiaji fish, pepper oil spinach, milk soup cauliflower, Xi Shi tongue and other Jiaodong flavor dishes. Because he often received dignitaries and nobles living in Qingdao at the end of the Qing Dynasty in the "Shunxing Building", and had a good friendship with liu Yanchen, the minister of parliament, and the great calligrapher Wang Gong, in 1921, at the suggestion of Wang Gan, Gao Xue and Wu Ziyu, a fellow villager in Fushan, rented Wang Gong's property at No. 12 Jimo Road to open the "Jufu Building".
Wang Gan: A famous calligrapher, he is a high-ranking person, and there are "three untitled" and "those who take money to buy words are not titled, powerful figures are not titled, and places related to foreigners are not titled." After Wang Li came to Qingdao, he donated money to build the "Qi Yan Hotel", he was optimistic that Gao Xue had been loyal and honest, and he also fried a good dish, not only for the "Jufu Lou" inscription plaque, but also for each room to write couplets.

The three words of "Jufu Lou" mean "Judafu Is noble in this building". As soon as The Jufu Building opened, because the dish was good, the famous prostitutes in the island city at that time were synonymous with "strips", and the famous prostitutes in "Pingkangli" after the customs were also divided into three, six, nine and so on. Not only must the hue be good, but also be able to sing and dance, and be able to speak and sing. They are very familiar with high-ranking officials and nobles, and they cannot be "issued" without their approval of the "note". At that time, Jufu Building became the place with the most "strips", and the chartered buses with the shift also came and went, picking up and dropping off the "strips" day and night, and the business was booming.
In 1926, Zheng Xiaoxu was a colleague at the "Jufu Lou" banquet, and when Wang Gong was invited by everyone to write poems, Zheng Xiaoxu also had a whim, while tasting fine wine and delicacies, on the other hand, the "stripes" studied ink and polished the pen, and wrote for the "Jufu Lou" the name of "driving through Jimo Road, buying drunk su to climb jufu Lou", in fact, Zheng Xiaoxu's words were far inferior to Wang Gong's, but people knew that Zheng Xiaoxu's words were easy not to show people and the story of collecting pen fees in front of him. For a time, the whole port of Qingdao was like a frying pan, and even the giant merchant Fu Jia in Beijing was also curious to come to watch the banquet, which was a good story for a while.
Since then, the business of "Jufu Lou" has become more popular, and it has become the boss of Chinese food in Qingdao Port. In 1942, "Jufu Lou" caused a fire due to cigarette butts, and had no choice but to move to Dongzhen as the "Jufu Lou" Dongji. In that year, the second floor was added to three floors on Jimo Road, so the east and west two opened at the same time.
JufuLou is the first restaurant in Qingdao to open Qingdao seafood cuisine, it combines Lu cuisine with Qingdao seasonal seafood to create its own style and characteristics, its "five major pieces", "four cold spelling", "six hot stir-fry", "four meals", in a long period of time has affected the qingdao Chinese restaurant banquet pattern, for many hotels to emulate. Its "five major pieces" are: broth bird's nest, braised shark fin, roast duck steamed eight treasure rice. In addition, Xishi tongue, fried shrimp segments, distilled shrimp, Tongtian sea cucumber, braised crab yellow, broth dried scallops and sweet and sour yellow fish are very popular with consumers, of which Xishi tongue is a kind of shellfish produced in the sand mouth area, commonly known as "sand clams" after cooking, the taste is exceptionally delicious, this is Wang Gong, give a beautiful name.
The famous writers Yu Dafu and Liang Shiqiu both tasted this dish when they were in "Shunxing Lou", and there was praise, yu Dafu wrote: "Its shell is fifteen centimeters long, long oval, the water pipe is long and white, often sticking out of the shell, its shape is like a tongue, so the name Xi Shi tongue, contained in the mouth has a smooth and soft feeling." ”
After 1949, the west number of Jimo Road was closed and converted into a residential building, and the east number continued to operate until the beginning of this century, when the Taitung Third Road Pedestrian Street was built, the "Jufu Lou" East Number was demolished, and the current "Jufu Building" was in No. 95 A, Ziyang Road, Shinan District (near Jiaxiang Road); No. 30 Taixi 2 Road (Jufu Lou Hotel); near the lower street in Licang District, no. 905-27 Chongqing Middle Road in Licang District.
