The four talented women of the Republic of China, Shi Pingmei, have flowers that can be folded and folded

Shi Pingmei (1902-1928), a modern and contemporary Chinese writer, revolutionary activist, one of the "Four Talented Women of the Republic of China". Originally known as Rubi, in September 1923, he serialized a long travelogue "Blurry Afterglow" in the "Morning News Supplement", and in 1924, he edited the "Beijing News Supplement" with his close friend Lu Jingqing. Women's Weekly", 1926, continued to co-edit the World Journal Supplement with Lu Jingqing. Rose Weekly"

It is a pity that such a talented person has only 26 years of life. I think it was her two deepest feelings that caused her some damage, and she died prematurely because of mental drag on her body.

Shi Pingmei was born in 1902 in a family of scholars in Shanxi, and was very favored by her parents from an early age. Her father personally enlightened her when she was three or four years old, teaching the "Four Books" and "Book of Poetry", so When Shi Pingmei studied at the Taiyuan Girls' Normal School, she was known as a "talented woman". During the period of studying in the female teacher, Shi Pingmei's rebellious thinking and organizational skills have been revealed. Once the female teacher made a storm, she was one of the organizers. After the storm, the school wanted to expel her, but because of her lack of education, she resumed her studies.

In the summer of 1919, Shi Pingmei graduated from the Taiyuan Women's Division and was admitted to the Beijing Women's Higher Normal School. Shi Pingmei's father did not trust his beloved daughter to study in a foreign land, so he found his fellow villagers and took more care of Wu Tianfang, who studied at Peking University. Wu Tian was impressed by the girl's Lan Xin Hui in the process of accompanying Shi Pingmei into Beijing.

A few days after arriving in Beijing, he asked Shi Pingmei to eat together at the "Laijin Yuxuan", during which the topic was led to "plum blossoms", and Wu Tianfang took out a stack of exquisitely printed letterheads from his bag. On each page there is a plum blossom standing proudly, a poem of the ancient Yongmei "Jiangnan has nothing, talk about giving a plum" and so on, and the bottom is also printed with "Commenting on plums". During the banquet, Wu Tianfang talked nonchalantly, a model of talent who was full of poetry and books, and captured the heart of the young girl Shi Pingmei. After that, Wu Tianfang's romantic means emerged in an endless stream, or telephone greetings, or flowers to give beauty, or outings together, and at that time, Wu Tianfang was working as a poetry editor in a family publication, the two had common topics and hobbies, and the two gradually approached. But as Balzac said, "Pretend love is more perfect than real love, which is why so many women are deceived." ”

This day, Shi Pingmei wanted to listen to Ai Luo Xianke's speech "Women and Their Mission" and the date time that the two had set long ago clashed. So she went to Wu Tianfang's apartment early and wanted to tell him that the appointment was canceled. However, at the door of the apartment, when a little boy asked her who she was looking for, and shouted loudly inside, "Daddy is looking for someone", Shi Pingmei only felt a thunderclap hit her, a burst of cold and a burst of heat. It turned out that Wu Tianfang had a wife room earlier, but he did not want to give up his marriage, and he also coveted his private affair with Shi Pingmei. After the incident, he threatened Shi Pingmei that if he broke up with him, he would publish their love letter in the newspaper. And repeatedly soft words begged each other, this feeling was like water to him. During this period, Shi Pingmei was in pain, although she ended her relationship with Wu Tianfang, she herself secretly decided not to fall in love and marry again in this life, resulting in missing Gao Junyu, who loved her.

In 1896, Gao Junyu was born into a wealthy merchant family in Shanxi Province, and later his parents arranged an arranged marriage and ran away from home in a fruitless struggle. In 1916, he was admitted to Peking University. On May 4, 1919, when the students marched patriotically, Gao Junyu was one of the backbone of the organization. In 1922, at the "Second National Congress" of the party, Gao Junyu was elected as a member of the Central Committee. In early 1924, together with Li Dazhao, Mao Zedong and others, he participated in the first congress of the Kuomintang as a member of the Communist Party.

The two met at a hometown meeting at the Shanxi Guild Hall in Beijing, and later learned that Shi Pingmei was the daughter of the teacher Shi Ming, and in vain, they found that they had many of the same ideals and ambitions, and the two exchanged letters, and Shi Pingmei and Gao Junyu gradually established a friendship.

On April 15, 1923, Shi Pingmei, who was emotionally distressed and sad, wrote to Gao Junyu, mentioning that he was in the midst of "unspeakable sorrow", and at this time, Gao Junyu was busy with revolution to save the country, and when he received a letter from Shi Pingmei and did not know what had happened to her, he replied with concern: "Why is there sorrow... Seeing that I can be relieved, I am afraid that I do not have this great power? We communicate a lot. Later, after learning of her experience, Gao Junyu was very worried about her state, and constantly wrote letters to inspire her optimistic life, looking forward to using his warmth to heal the wounds in her heart.

In the autumn of that year, I received a flaming red maple leaf from Gao Junyu, on which a few lines were written with a brush:

"The mountains are full of autumn colors, and a piece of red leaves send love."

This sudden courtship letter made Shi Pingmei fall into anxiety and contradiction. She thought about it for a long time and wrote this line on the autumn leaves:

"The withered flower basket cannot withstand this bright red leaf."

After being rejected by Shi Pingmei, Gao Junyu did not give up his love for her, and he consulted privately with his father-in-law many times, and finally ended the 10-year-old marriage in the autumn of 1924.

Shi Pingmei replied after learning that Gao Junyu ended his arranged marriage: "Be the only confidant friend with him, and be a comrade with him who has spent this life with a career." ”

In September 1924, Gao Junyu went south to Guangzhou to serve as Sun Yat-sen's secretary. As Shi Pingmei's birthday approached, Gao Junyu went to the street to buy a pair of ivory rings, attached the smaller one to the letter, and sent it to Shi Pingmei, who was far away in Beijing, "May you bear her." Maybe you can't bear it, let it be like a red leaf fate. I respect your wishes, and I only hope to commemorate our ice and snow friendship with the white sturdiness of the ivory ring...", and the other one was worn on his own hand. Shi Pingmei put on the ivory ring, and she understood that the white ring symbolized that the two would always maintain "a friendship as pure as ice and snow."

In October 1924, Feng Yuxiang staged a coup d'état in Beijing and established a provisional executive government in Beijing headed by Duan Qirui, telegraphing Sun Yat-sen to go north to "discuss the state of the country". On the last day of the year, Gao Junyu arrived in Beijing with Sun Yat-sen. Back in Beijing, he participated in the preparations for the National Congress of the National Assembly. But years of hard life and emotional depression made the young man's body no longer able to support it. Soon after, he was admitted to the hospital. During this period, Shi Pingmei came to visit almost every day, and the two talked speculatively, and sometimes their hands wearing ivory rings were tightly clasped together. Later, Gao Junyu, who had recently been discharged from the hospital, suffered from acute appendicitis and was admitted to the hospital again, and due to postoperative hemorrhage, Gao Junyu died in the early morning of March 6, 1925, at the age of 29. According to Gao Junyu's wish, he was buried by the Taoran Pavilion.

In September 1928, at the age of 26, Shi Pingmei died of illness in Beijing. Before she died, she still wore the white ring on her hand. Friends buried her next to Gao Junyu's tomb, fulfilling the last wish of the two of them to "not be able to live together before they died, and wish to be buried together after death".
