Have you ever noticed the insignificant moss and tiny fireflies?

author:Keemun Xiao Xie

I had read thirty-seven volumes of Quan Tang Poems, and suddenly I wanted to write something.

In the first thirty-seven volumes, in addition to the textbooks, which are particularly famous, the only thing I remember is a poem by Li Bai: Acacia yellow leaves fall, white dew dots moss.

Have you ever noticed the insignificant moss and tiny fireflies?

This sentence is too shocking. Only Li Bai can write such a poem, and only Li Bai can exert his language to the extreme.

Think about it, in the quiet of the night, the yellow leaves quietly fall, and on the uninhabited moss, there is perhaps several white dews. These few white dews, like who dot on the moss, this word is even more miraculous.

When I read "Dream of the Red Chamber", it mentioned the words in the "West Chamber", saying: There can be people in the secluded places, and the moss and white dew are scattered.

Now we have reason to believe that Wang Shifu has read Li Bai's poem, and this word has also touched him. And the later Cao Xueqin was also moved by this poem and was moved by this word.

Xiaoxiang Hall's courtyard: As soon as you enter the courtyard door, you can only see the jagged bamboo shadows underground, and the moss marks are thick.

Looking back at Li Bai's poem, it was shocking.

When the beauty is there, the flowers are full, and the beauty is gone to spend the rest of the bed.

The embroidery in the bed has been rolled up, and it has been smelling for three years.

The incense did not perish, and the people did not come.

Acacia yellow leaves fall, white dew dots moss.

This is clearly a dead thing in the gongzi filler words. If the yellow leaves on the ground are not swept away, and there is no trace of moss on the full steps, then it is already empty here. It can be seen that reading books can not only read one book, if you can read through, the details in it are more available, just like other places where you meet a new friend.

Today, I read Yu Shinan's poems, and Yu Shinan's poetic style is still the poetic style of the Six Dynasties.

Some time ago, I discussed the poetic style of the Six Dynasties with Xu Ge'er, and I think that the rhythm of the Six Dynasties is very slow, and it is more greatly affected by the endowment, and it likes to lay out the comparison and slowly come, so that there is a sense of dilution. The poetry of Sheng Tang is a fast-paced and very jumpy, so it presents a different mood from the poetry style of the Six Dynasties.

For example, Du Fu's two yellow orioles mingcui willows, the second sentence turned, directly turned to the heavens.

If it is a poem of the Six Dynasties, it will not turn so fast, the first sentence writes Yellow Oriole and Cuiliu, and the second sentence must be to carry on these two and describe it again.

Yu Shinan lived from the Six Dynasties to the Tang Dynasty, and his poetic style unconsciously carried the imprint of the Six Dynasties.

For example, in "Complaint Song Line", the autumn wind of the Purple Temple is cold, and the eagle is sunset. Cut the poignant song, weave the vegetarian do not centrifuge...

The purple temple carving, tailoring and weaving, are very similar or completely the same meaning, this language structure, so that the rhythm of the whole poem slows down, so that there is a kind of looping back and forth, singing and sighing three times.

From this I suddenly thought of the rhythmic poem, the jaw joint and the neck joint require confrontation, the meaning and structure of the battle, and this kind of looping back and forth is not the same. The loops emphasized by the rhythm poem are more rhythmic, and in the content of the poem, too many words of the same meaning should not be used, because this will make the connection appear unusually drooling.

Poetry is a highly condensed language art, isn't it a big deal to have nonsense?

But now when people write rhythmic poems, in order to fight, they will not consider anything else at all, he pays attention to rhyme, he pays attention to duality, that is, he does not pay attention to the content presented, which is clearly a word of harm.

I also hate the "poet" who teaches the law of personality from the beginning, which is not the purpose of poetry. The poetry of the Six Dynasties did not have a grammar, is it not beautiful? The starting point of writing poetry is not for the sake of rhythm, not for the sake of rhythmic beauty, but because you want to write poetry, because you have something to say, do not spit unpleasant emotions. When you vent out what you have in your heart, you can use the law to regulate it and make it better and more beautiful.

Just like a baby learning to walk, the purpose of his learning is because he has the desire to reach a distant place, whether it is climbing, holding a table or chair, or even with the help of a walker, in short, his first meaning is to be able to walk. When he has not yet learned to walk, you have to learn to lean to the right of pedestrians, stop at green lights... And blindly tell him that if you don't learn these rules, you can't go out at all. You let a baby who can't even walk on the road to the endless street, isn't that crazy what?

Babies must first learn to walk, and then understand the world, understand and be familiar with other rules, in some special times, the rules can also be broken, is it necessary for ambulances not to run red lights?

The rules are set by people and should be followed, but the rules are dead, people are alive, and the living cannot be choked to death by urine.

Back to Yu Shinan.

Many of Yu Shinan's poems are slow-paced, not loved by the world, let alone widely circulated. What impressed me the most today was a small poem with a different taste.

Wing Chun

The streamer is small, and the fluttering weak wings are light.

Fear of no one, alone and secretly.

A firefly is a tiny, tiny bug with tiny wings that a gust of wind can blow it away, and even if it glows, its light is small and weak. Such a small bug, afraid of a little bug that no one knows, it glows faintly in the darkness alone.

Why Yu Shinan wrote such a poem I don't want to explore, I want to talk about the poem itself. A poem should have its own taste, its own realm, something it wants to express, and a space for people to meditate.

This is the meaning of poetry, and good poetry can still resonate with people after thousands of years.

Have you ever noticed the insignificant moss and tiny fireflies?

I have described a kind of poetry before called Three Rolls of White Water. A pot of boiled water, boiled three times, it is still a pot of boiled water, tasteless, not because it is boiled to drink, it is full of interest, unforgettable.

Is something with a large audience good? Is something that is sought after good? The kind of weak little firefly that will be blown away by the wind, its light is so weak, but it does have light, it really exists, even if it is buried in the wild grass, someone will remember it after all, right?
