As we all know, there are seven continents on the earth, the most economically developed are Europe and North America, and the weakest economy is Africa. Basically, when it comes to Africa, many people's first impression is poor and backward. It is precisely because of poverty that the conditions in Africa are very poor in all aspects.

Those of us who have studied history know that Africa is the place where human beings originated and one of the first places to have human civilization, but fate has made people, and after thousands of years of development, Africa has now become the poorest region. Compared with Europe and the United States, it is a world of difference.
You know what? The 1.2-meter-long parasite ravaged Africa, causing 3.5 million people to suffer, and the scientific community said: Is it the earth that is repairing itself? Controlling human populations through parasitic infections? In fact, parasites are ravaging Africa, and there have been such things all these years, because of the climate and environment, Africa is full of all kinds of super viruses and infectious diseases.
What I want to tell you today is that there is an extremely terrible parasitic disease in Africa. Maybe just by listening to it, you can feel how terrible it really is. This parasite can reach 1.2 meters in length alone, is it not hard to imagine how painful such a long parasite will be if it is infected.
1.2-meter giant parasites ravage Africa, and these giant parasites have a "domineering" name called dragon nematode. It is currently mainly located in the Guinea region of Africa. In fact, at first these goods were "not interested" in humans, they were more parasitic on other mammals. (Because the picture may cause serious discomfort, the original picture will not be put)
However, it is not known when cases of dragon nematodes parasitizing humans began, and then began to spread rapidly. Coupled with the harsh conditions in Africa, people are not very aware of this, and the dragon nematode is transmitted through the most easily transmitted drinking water, so the dragon nematode has caused millions of Africans to be infected.
Originally, with the help of the World Health Organization, the number of infectious diseases of Dracunculiasis has been greatly reduced. This shows that prevention and control is still very effective. Worryingly, however, dragon worms have spread beyond Africa and elsewhere outside africa.
The first country outside Africa where Dracunculiasis infection was found was Australia. Imagine that from Africa to Australia, there are oceans in between, but even so, dragon worms spread to Australia. Even more worrisome for scientists is the very long parasitic incubation period of Dracunculia, which may not begin to develop until several years after infection.
Scientists have also found that today's dragon nematodes seem to be more powerful than before. Scientists began to analyze why dracunculia spread from mammals to humans, and what "attracted" dracuncules to humans. If this problem can be solved, it may be possible to solve this terrible "parasite monster".
In fact, nowadays, human infection with parasites has been much less, because parasites usually enter the human body through diet, and modern human eating habits coupled with human strict control of food safety, the problem of parasites has been much smaller. It may be that the control in Africa is not so strict, which has led to the opportunity for the dragon nematode to take advantage of it.
This has also made Africa the region in the world with the most viruses and the most parasites. And Africa is also the place where the most "super viruses" have been bred, do you know why the COVID-19 pandemic has not affected Africa so much? Because the new crown virus is a "little fart" in the eyes of many super viruses in Africa.
