Kenting Resort and Yunlin University of Science and Technology jointly launched the "Digital Service Design and Marketing Workshop - Bird's Nest Story: Getting Lost in the Torii Forest" course, working together to rehabilitate the collared owl, and invited Tsai Chi-wai, a leading owl master, to guide how to compensate the owls in Taiwan for habitat compensation.

Zhang Fusheng, general manager of Xiao Kenting Resort, said that xiao kenting has 55 kinds of land crabs to see from May to October every year, taiwan window fireflies from July to September every year, and more than 200,000 red-bellied eagles transit in September, and more than 60,000 gray-faced eagles in October.
Zhang Wenshan, assistant professor of the Department of Digital Media Design of Yunlin University of Science and Technology, said that the Torii Camp and Teacher Lan Chunqi opened together, after three days and two nights of experience, to expand the service map and experience blueprint of the local industry, one of the main axes of the course is local creation, hoping to use design to find new opportunities for the local area, and further create young talents to stay in their hometowns or return to their hometowns.
Lan Chunqi pointed out that combining general literature and innovation courses, the traditional Chinese courses are introduced into innovative thinking, and then combined with industrial experience, the "Old is New" concept integrates the teachers of the future, design, management and engineering, so that the students can learn creative thinking, and through the brainstorming of students in different colleges and departments, form a platform for the integration and dialogue of interdisciplinary disciplines, like Torii Camp from freshman year to master's degree, different departments and grades, stirring up fascinating ideas.
Cai Zhiwei, a master who teaches the production of collared owl nest boxes, pointed out that there are 12 species of owls in Taiwan, of which the largest owl is the yellow fish owl, and the most common in rural and urban areas is the collared owl. The collared owl usually sleeps in the tree, and will look for suitable tree holes when breeding, but the habitat of the collared owl is lost, the area of broad-leaved forest is constantly shrinking, in order to solve the problem that the collared owl has no nest tree to incubate the next generation, the nest box is set up at a position of three to five meters on the small Kenting tree, which is part of the habitat compensation.
He said that the feeding habits of the collared owl are insects, such as locusts and cockroaches, as well as moths, rodents, birds and snakes. It is a high-level consumer in the ecological chain, and if a nest box is set up between farms, it can provide ecological services.
