Giorolo, Peru, is hopeful of finding large porphyry copper mines

AUSQUEST announced that it has delineated an "important" porphyry target in the Chololo project in Peru.

The company conducted an excitation radicalization measurement on the ground and found a strong conductive anomaly in the northern part of the construction area, indicating that there may be a hidden porphyry copper mine deep.

Preliminary computer simulations confirmed that the target area was large in scale and unusually strong, and there may be sulphide mineralization in the source rock.

The company said that under the strategic cooperation agreement signed with South32 in February, the Jorolo project will be introduced to the latter as a target for drilling.

South32 has targeted Jorolo, along with two other Peruvian projects and three Australian projects.
