Recently, COP15 "The World's Paradise • Yunnan Biodiversity All-Media Theme Interview Line" entered Qiubei County.
Puzuhei Karst National Wetland Park was approved by the State Forestry Administration for pilot construction in 2011, and in 2015, it was listed by the State Forestry Administration as one of the 22 key national wetland parks in the country, and is the only wetland park selected in Yunnan Province. In December 2017, it officially passed the acceptance of the National Wetland Park.
According to the docents and experts, puzuhei wetland is located in the tropical limestone mountain plains of Southeast Yunnan, and the wetland and the shishan peak forest are integrated, forming a unique natural landscape and a special karst lake wetland ecosystem, which is very representative of the karst landform of Yunnan and Guizhou in southwest China. It is precisely because of the unique geomorphological characteristics that the unique biodiversity characteristics of Puzhu Black have been bred. At present, there are 823 species of vascular plants: 46 species of ferns, 16 species of gymnosperms, and 761 species of angiosperms. There are 6 species of amphibians, 10 species of reptiles and 16 species of mammals. There are 18 species of fish, 3 species endemic to the land, and 209 species of birds.
Among the species currently counted, three endemic fish species have been found, the loach of the blind plateau of the hill, the turtle of the north of the hill and the eagle-beaked goldenrod. In addition, among the existing species, there are also animals and plants under national key protection: 3 species of wild plants under national level II key protection, namely sea cauliflower, wild diamond and fan fern; 3 species of national level I key protected birds - golden eagle, oriental white stork and black-necked crane, 20 species of national level II key protected birds such as kestrels and sparrowhawks, and 131 species of birds belonging to the "List of Terrestrial Wild Animals Under National Protection that are beneficial or have important economic and scientific research value".

It is understood that since the pilot construction of the Puzuhei Karst National Wetland Park, the Qiubei County Party Committee and the county government have always regarded the protection and management of the "Puzuhei Wetland" as the top priority in implementing the strategy of establishing an ecological county, and have issued a series of documents to strengthen wetland protection, wildlife protection, and water environment improvement, established the Puzhehei Karst National Wetland Park Administration, and established a park management system. A number of construction projects have been implemented successively, such as the restoration of the deep sea around the lake, the interception and control of pollution in the river basin, the control of agricultural non-point source pollution, the comprehensive improvement of the rivers into the lake, and the return of farmland to wetness. Up to now, Qiubei County has invested a total of 132 million yuan for the protection and restoration of Puzhehei Wetland, completed the construction of 8.1 kilometers of lakeshore protection belt and the restoration of vegetation in the lakeside belt, restored 1631 mu of mountain vegetation in the river basin, restored 1369 mu of vegetation at the source of water sources, and closed 2558 mu of mountain forest area.
The construction of Puzhu black wetland has effectively protected and restored the wetland ecosystem, protected the diversity of wetland organisms, provided a good habitat environment for birds, stimulated the vitality of rural tourism, and promoted the development of puzuhei tourism. Xianrendong Village, shuanglongying town, known as the richest village in Qiubei County, is a typical example.
