Blood-colored borer [IV. Blood-colored Borer] (3)

Suddenly, this image came to my mind:

In the darkness of the world, there was only one place that emitted a dark blue light, and it was a huge altar, and above the altar, countless flying creatures of unknown nature rushed into the body of a thin man. One by one, until all the flying creatures disappeared into the man's body. Little by little, his body was stretched out until it was the size of an altar. Then he began to sink and began to make contact with the altar. It was touched, and continued, and finally fit perfectly with the altar. He smiled, and slowly, he disappeared. In its place were countless flying creatures, which had new variations.

Their bodies turned blood red, and their wings became crystal clear. They become more fascinating. Then, they also begin to disappear. Little by little, they disappeared, starting with their wings, then to their blood-red bodies, to their tiny tentacles. All gone. Then on the altar appeared many blood-red orbs the size of fingernails, the eggs of those flying creatures. More and more... More and more... More and more... It's spreading... The altar also began to glow...

Then suddenly, around the altar appeared many gophers, herds of gophers. They ran like demons towards the altar, and those who ran slowly became the back pedals, and then more gophers died in this strange madness. The gophers who reached the altar began to nibble furiously on the blood-red eggs, and then the gophers began to turn blood-red.

This nibbling went on for a long time... For a long time...

At this moment, I felt the borers frantically drilling into my body roaring with excitement and grieving in pain. I held out my hand and picked up one of them. I can understand how they feel. They are excited because their children are about to enter the world, although this wasteland is not a very suitable cradle for hatching. And they mourn because their children are about to become the food of other creatures. I can understand them, but I can't forgive them, after all, their survival comes at the cost of what few of my lives are being consumed.

The picture continues again...

...... Finally, the gophers receded. The only remaining eggs faded blood red, and the survivors hatched in a very short time, turning into dark blue borers with powerful wings, and regrouping and speeding away into the distance.

……

Heaven and earth darkened again, and only a blue light crossed in this darkness, and I didn't know where it was going!

After a long time, the sky began to light up! The storm that had been dormant for a long time began to wreak havoc on this square world...

The storm finally passed...

The sun is out...

The altar disappeared and the pond regained its clear, transparent color. Animals come to drink water. At some point, there was a small tree and a small turtle by the pond...

Time passed day by day... The little tree grew into an old tree and began to dry up. The little turtle also grew into an old turtle. A coyote wolf came and dug a hole in the ground under the tree to hide.

The night is coming... Several monsters approached the pond. They found coyotes. Thus, the coyotes became their supper. hole...... Empty...

The pond suddenly tumbled open, and a huge altar of pitch-black color emerged from the bottom of the water. On a teardrop-shaped bulge in the center of the altar, a young child is curled up... The old turtle on the shore quickly swam into the water, then climbed up the huge pitch-black altar, and then the altar began to sink into the bottom of the water little by little, and then the old turtle's huge body lifted the child and slowly swam back to the shore. Then the old turtle put the child down and spat out the water from the pool of water at the unconscious man. The child's small body moved, and he opened his eyes in a hazy way...

At this moment, I understood. That's how I came to the wasteland. The child in that picture is not me, because the black blur mark on his body is on his right shoulder, and mine is on his left shoulder. But I know that what I see now is my final ending and the way I came to the wasteland. I also understood why that empty voice had called me to the wasteland. Because this wasteland needs, young lives to complete this strange and fascinating sacrifice.

As the old turtle said, this is a cursed land. And that altar and that feast of borers, and the black motifs that everyone who comes to this wasteland, and this final blood-colored sacrifice, are the only way the curse can continue.
