Japanese Drama Cost Synopsis:
Keisuke Okuyama (Shun Oguri) at Shiraishi Law Firm is a brilliant lawyer, but also a mentally debaced and weak man with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder. One day, he suddenly receives a letter from Michiko, the adoptive mother of tatsuya Ando (Takahashi), the suspect in the robbery and murder incident, saying, "Please defend your good friend Tatsuya Ando." The moment he saw this line, the tragic past buried deep in Kesuke's mind also revived.
17 years ago, Tatsuya, who moved to the vicinity of Keisuke's house, offered to be friends with Keisuke, who knew that Tatsuya and Michiko approached him in order to squeeze money from the Okuyama family. Unaware of this conspiracy, Keisuke and Tatsuya gradually became acquainted, but they vaguely felt that something was wrong. Later, the Okuyama family suffered a fire under Tatsuya's ingenious design, and Keisuke's parents were killed.
However, because Tatsuya's criminal methods are hidden, he is not found to have deliberately set fires, and Kesuke, who was picked up to his home because of the death of his parents, experienced a nightmare-like juvenile age. Now that his career is successful, Keisuke does not want to be disturbed by Tatsuya again, so he decisively refuses the request to defend, but he cannot escape the involvement in the case.
