Badminton is the second consecutive year to be selected as an official competition item of the Wuhan National Fitness Games, and last year's badminton competition was also the final battle of the Wuhan National Fitness Games. According to the data released by the Wuhan Badminton Association in 2019, there are 450 badminton halls in Wuhan alone with more than 12 pieces, and the number of people participating in badminton all year round exceeds 500,000. The Wuhan City Badminton Super League has been successfully held for 5 sessions, and this year's "Wuhan Super League" jointly sponsored by the Wuhan Municipal Sports Bureau and Yangtze River Daily will officially start in early December.

The badminton competition of the Wuhan National Fitness Games is an individual competition, the competition lasts for two days, and there are 4 groups according to the age group, and the competition is divided into 4 sports such as men's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. The youngest contestant is only 18 years old and the oldest is 59 years old. The tournament includes all badminton masters from various institutions and enterprises, institutions and amateur clubs in Wuhan, and Zhou Kunpeng, who has participated in the badminton mass group competition of the National Games on behalf of Hubei, and Zhou Yuan, who has participated in national competitions for many times, have all registered to participate.
