Li Guiying: Inheriting the red gene and remembering the history of red

In the free red exhibition hall of the gardener community of Shengli Street in Hailar District, the first thing that catches the eye is a neatly arranged row of display cabinets, which display a variety of red collections: the portrait of the president of the People's Republic of China, the commemorative medals with the themes of the military parade, the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, commemorative coins and colored silver stamps. These red collections show the course of the CPC's arduous struggle and reproduce the strong will and spirit of serving the people wholeheartedly by the revolutionary ancestors. The owner of these red collections, Li Guiyingzheng, executive deputy director of the Customs Work Committee of the Victory Office, introduced the theme of the exhibitions and historical stories one by one to the party members, residents and students who came to visit, so that everyone could further understand the arduous and magnificent red history of the Communist Party of China.

Li Guiying, an 80-year-old veteran party member with 34 years of party experience, has been volunteering to work in the Street Customs Work Committee since his retirement. As early as the beginning of her work, she submitted an application to join the party, and has always set strict demands on herself according to the standards of a party member, striving to become a real communist party member at an early date. But her original unit was Hailar's unit, which had no party branch, but even so, Li Guiying insisted on writing the party application every year and handing it over to the second-level station, until her unit belonged to the local sugar and wine company, and she finally joined the Chinese Communist Party as she wished, becoming a full party member.

Speaking of the red collection, Li Guiying told reporters that people born in her era have experienced a lot, and at the same time have witnessed various stages and processes of national development, personally experiencing their own days from poverty to happiness now, all thanks to the Communist Party, the party is the most solid reliance of the people. Therefore, she has a deep affection and love for the party, full of admiration for revolutionary leaders and heroes, and with her simple feelings and personal love for the party, she spends almost all her spare time in the work of the Red Collection and the Customs Work Committee.

In order to let the children better understand the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the revolutionary struggle and plant the red seeds in the hearts of the children, Li Guiying also donated books on the deeds of Lei Feng, Huang Jiguang, Dong Cunrui, Qiu Shaoyun and other figures to the community and schools for many times, so that the children can remember the moving deeds of the martyrs in reading and learn the dedication of the heroic models who have worked hard in peacetime and dedicated themselves to the cause. Li Guiying said: "The glorious course that the Communist Party of China has gone through over the past hundred years has been achieved by the blood and sweat of countless revolutionary ancestors from generation to generation, the development of our country to this day is not easy, and our current happy life is not easy to come by, as a veteran party member, I have the responsibility and obligation to care for the healthy growth of the next generation, earnestly undertake the glorious mission of inheriting red genes, let more people further understand the red history, and pass on and carry forward the red blood and red genes." ”

Now in her old age, Li Guiying is still running around the work of inheriting the red gene and the Customs Work Committee, going to various schools and communities to carry out red exhibitions, explaining to the residents and students who visit, and caring for the healthy growth of the next generation. Although she is only an ordinary party member, she has always silently practiced her ideals and beliefs as a communist party member with her selfless dedication spirit, and expressed her loyalty and love for the party in the form of a red collection.
