If a meteor has life, it is the spirit of eternity that makes life eternal. On the scale of value, eternity is a hope, a hope, and even a pursuit. In real life, eternity can also be a choice, a trade-off, depending on one's understanding of the value of life. More than two months ago, the intensive care unit of a hospital in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, became the focus of social attention. Because of a "choice" of an Army soldier, this life that died like a meteor was endowed with an indelible scale of value.
This is a 35-year-old fourth-class sergeant major named Wang Qipeng. In June this year, he suddenly fainted while on a mission, was rushed to the hospital for rescue, and was diagnosed with a ruptured brain aneurysm. After more than 60 days of rescue, he once regained consciousness. But fate showed a merciless side, and the young man eventually left us.
At the moment when his life was about to end, his family obeyed Wang Qipeng's wishes and made such a "choice" - donating 5 kinds of organs such as his heart, liver and kidneys to save lives with his life.

In the early hours of the day the soldier, who had been in the army for 14 years and had been in the party for nearly 10 years, left this world, after 5 hours of surgery, his heart beat again in the body of an endangered patient; when the warm blood, through the powerful beating heart, made the patient burst out of the spark of life again, that "good expectation" became a reality - Wang Qipeng's life was continued in another way.

On another bright morning, the patients who received Wang Qipeng's organ donation slowly opened their eyes, bathed in warm sunlight, and listened to the birds chirping. There are 5 such patients. Under the double-blind rules of organ donation, they did not know that the rest of their lives would be closely linked to the death of a soldier.
The families of the five patients called or texted the Red Cross staff, and each of them expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the donor.
Hearing this news, Zha Huiqin burst into tears. Late at night, watching her daughter sweetly fall asleep, Zha Huiqin felt helpless and confused like never before, her daughter had lost her father at such a young age, what kind of life their mother and daughter would face.
At the head of the bed in the bedroom, there are wedding photos of himself and her husband Wang Qipeng. In the hall, there was a photo of Wang Qipeng hanging.
Looking at the sweet smile on the wedding photos, Zha Huiqin clearly remembered that Wang Qipeng could not go home that year because of a task, so she went to Xiamen, the garrison of the army at that time, to visit relatives, and Wang Qipeng took time to take wedding photos in the Gulangyu Scenic Area.
Scenes from the past came to mind, and Zha Huiqin's thoughts were pulled back to March 2016, when they were introduced by relatives, the two of them knew each other.
When they first met, Wang Qipeng was down-to-earth, diligent and careful, which touched Zha Huiqin's heart. The flower of love slowly blooms. Zha Huiqin believes that Wang Qipeng is the person she deserves to be entrusted for life. The two entered the hall of marriage in early 2017.
After marriage, they were separated and spent very little time together, but Zha Huiqin could feel the love from her husband all the time.
In an accidental car accident, Zha Huiqin was injured and hospitalized.

Born in 1985 to an ordinary rural family in Wuhu, Anhui Province, Wang Qipeng worked as a carpenter and cook after graduating from high school. After enlisting, he trained hard and performed well, and the following year he was named an "excellent soldier".
On September 21, 2012, Wang Qipeng gloriously joined the party.
"In fact, Wang Qipeng's physical foundation is not good, but he is very hardworking." In the interview, Xia Jie, the head of the class, told reporters that Wang Qipeng can strictly demand himself by the standards of a party member at any time.
In 2017, the reform of the army was transferred, and Wang Qipeng, a veteran who had been enlisted in the army for 10 years, was transferred to an infantryman and was assigned to the honorary company of the brigade, "Dagong Company". As a famous "sharp knife company" in the whole brigade, it has very high requirements for physical fitness and skills, which is a severe test for Wang Qipeng.
"If there is a gap, work overtime to practice and strive to catch up as soon as possible." During that time, Wang Qipeng could not move every day with "three hundred" thunderbolts, and every night after the lights went out, he went to the fitness room to "open a small stove"; in order to improve his shooting performance, he took the initiative to form a "mutual aid pair" with Jian Lei, the shooting tip of the company, and practiced shooting techniques hard... Eventually, in a short period of time, he made the leap from passing to excellent in his new area of expertise.
In 2020, the brigade artillery battalion was re-equipped. As an old driver, Wang Qipeng took the initiative to change the guard and exchange to the artillery battalion. He worked overtime to learn equipment knowledge, and three months later, he participated in the drill as a driver and ammunition hand, and played a "good start" in the first live-fire shot.
In the impression of Liu Yunpeng, then chief of the quartermaster barracks section, even though he had learned that his condition was very serious, Wang Qipeng still said to him: "When you are discharged from the hospital, you must hurry up for training, you have already left a lot behind, and your work has also fallen a lot..."

After following the company to move to the defense, many living facilities in the new camp area were not complete, wang Qipeng used his carpentry skills to help the battalion company repair the camp tools, and took the initiative to participate in the repair of the closets, desks and toilet partitions of several battalions. Soldier Cheng Kai has been discharged from the army for two years, but in his memories, Wang Qipeng is happy to help others and care for his comrades-in-arms, and everyone is willing to play with him and train together.

Wang Qipeng's sister said that Wang Qipeng always wanted to be a person who was "useful to society" before his death, and organ donation also adhered to his consistent wish.

Wang Qipeng's mother had just lost her husband two years ago and now she has lost her only son. The 65-year-old man endured the grief and chose to follow his son's wishes and nodded at the matter of organ donation.
After consulting the doctor, after the second operation, Wang Qipeng could only rely on a ventilator and nutrient solution to maintain vital signs every day. Amazingly, after more than two months in the hospital bed, in addition to brain death, Wang Qipeng's other body organs were basically intact.

On the morning of August 24, before the donation operation, the distance from the intensive care unit to the operating room was about 100 meters long, which was the last part of the journey that the relatives accompanied Wang Qipeng.
The medical staff of the hospital, the officers and men of the unit where Wang Qipeng was stationed, and the staff of the Red Cross Society all came. Clusters of green carnations, a handful of small daisies representing new birth, were gently placed on him.

A relative came to the house as a guest, and in the small talk, he knew that I did not have a boyfriend, so he said that he introduced me to a soldier, who looked very energetic, and now he just happened to visit his relatives at home and had not yet returned to the team, and he was willing to match us.
Out of courtesy, I promised to make an appointment to meet at some time. That day, Qi Peng stood in front of me in a straight military uniform. My eyes lit up and I felt that he looked like he was wearing a military uniform, really handsome. In this way, we left WeChat for each other.
In the next period of time, through social interaction, I found that others were very honest, diligent and careful, and my impression of him became better and better. Then we went back to each other's cities and started talking about "phone" love.
Military love looks very beautiful, but the sourness in it is only myself who knows best. When I'm sick and left alone, when I see my colleagues pair up after work to go to the movies, my heart is not a taste. But I understand that to be a military sister-in-law, you have to learn to understand.
In the first month of 2017, we got married. After getting married, we made a pact to have children after he had completed his sergeant's service. Unexpectedly, the sergeant's service expired, and he still wanted to stay in the army. During that time, I didn't want to pay attention to him, the text messages didn't return, the phone didn't answer, but he didn't give up, but after every call, he sent me a caring message.
A week later, I figured it out. I love Wang Qipeng, a soldier with tenacity, and no matter what decisions he makes, I should support him.
Seeing that QiPeng is already in his 30s, I don't want him to be a father yet. So we discussed and decided to have children. He was very happy to know I was pregnant. As soon as he had time he called me and asked me how I was, how was the baby.
On January 20, 2021, Qi Peng came back to accompany me to give birth. My due date is Chinese New Year's Eve, and it may be that the baby knows that his father is back and can't wait to come.
