Ding Xiaojun was born in 1981 in Dalian, Liaoning Province.
Peking Opera actor of the Comrades-in-Arms Cultural and Labor Troupe of the Political Department of the Beijing Military Region, Gong Qingyi, and disciple of the artist Du Jinfang. He has won gold and silver in the national art grand prix many times. He won the first place in the Qingyi Group of the 6th CCTV National Youth Competition and was a student of the 5th Chinese Peking Opera Young Actors Graduate Class.
In 2002, he participated in the China Peking Opera Arts Festival as Shi Xiaoyuyi in the newly edited historical drama "The Soul of the Canghai", and won the second prize for individual performance.
