Former NBA player Jerry Starkhouse responded to his controversial remarks about Michael Jordan in an interview in April.

"When I say I feel like A better player than Jordan, I think I must have meant it wrong. But at the time, I was better suited to lead the team than he was. ”

Starkhouse played with Jordan as a teammate for the Wizards in the 02-03 season, when he averaged 21.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Jordan averaged 20.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists that season. The Wizards finished 9th in the East that season with 37 wins and 45 losses and missed the playoffs.
