The reporter learned from the press conference of the Tianjin Municipal Government held a few days ago that the construction plan of the Yangliuqing Grand Canal National Cultural Park located in the Xiqing District of Tianjin city was deliberated and approved by the special meeting of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and the Tianjin Municipal Government on April 1. In the plan, the construction of the park will carry forward the canal culture, inherit and protect folk culture such as New Year paintings, and highlight the historical and cultural heritage and natural ecological scenery of Tianjin. Unique historical towns, ancient and melodious canal villages, willow green canal style... The creative transformation and development of the cultural resources of the Grand Canal will effectively help rural revitalization.

At present, there are 55 cultural relics protection units and 122 intangible cultural heritage units along the Grand Canal in Tianjin. Liang Jun, deputy director of the Tianjin Municipal Development and Reform Commission, introduced that Tianjin has sorted out the static and scattered canal cultural heritage into the canal context and built a grand canal identification system. Elaborately design tourism routes and a series of tourism products, and develop the tourism industry to drive rural revitalization.

The construction of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park with high standards is a key project for the development of the Grand Canal. "Yangliuqing Grand Canal National Cultural Park is located in the thousand-year-old town of Yangliuqing, planning to cover an area of more than 2,800 acres, divided into three sections: historical town, Yuanbao Island and Cultural Science Town, with a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan." Bai Fengxiang, deputy secretary of the Tianjin Xiqing District Party Committee and mayor of the district, introduced that for the historical town plate, the "re-activation" method is adopted to retain more than 800 existing old houses, carry out historical and cultural restoration in accordance with the concept of "urban acupuncture", and develop characteristic tourism and characteristic homestays. For the Yuanbao Island plate, the "re-organization" method is adopted, and through the restoration of the yangliu QingquYuan Hall, canal water street, intangible cultural heritage street, etc., the New Year painting production experience, folk performances, canal cruises and other activities are regularly held to create a folk culture town. For the cultural science town plate, the concept of "redevelopment" is adopted, focusing on the development of education and cultural industries, and the School of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University is jointly built as an intangible cultural heritage education base. After the completion of the park, it will become a major tourist destination in Tianjin and a "punch card" for Tianjin cultural internet celebrities, and it is expected to attract 3 million tourists every year and achieve various incomes of more than 3 billion yuan.
