Very few compatriots who survived the Nanjing Massacre survived. Now that they are old people, they still can't easily recall the disaster of that year, which was the nightmare of their lives.

At the time, twenty-two-year-old Li Xiuying was seven months pregnant, and she hid with her father and some refugee friends in the basement of an American-founded school in Mount Wutai.
The basement was small and damp, but it became a refuge for more than twenty people. They can only stay here, because once they go out and are found by the devils, there is only one way to die. Japanese devils roam the streets and alleys of Nanjing, searching everywhere for Chinese figures.

By this time the Japanese ghost had left, and Li Xiuying's father and friends had placed her on a bed in the basement. Li Xiuying pondered for a long time and made a decision: she was going to fight with the Japanese devils! Even if you die, you cannot be humiliated.
So she first said her last words to her father, and calmly decided to die.

The Japanese devil was also taken aback, and desperately grabbed Li Xiuying's hand to prevent her from pulling it out.
After several fights, Li Xiuying bit the shoulder of the Japanese devil into a blur of flesh and blood. The Japanese devil let go of his hand in pain, and Li Xiuying took the knife and stabbed him several times.

Li Xiuying, who was managed to be sent to the hospital for rescue, was stabbed in the abdomen, and the seven-month-old fetus could not survive. She was covered in wounds, with thirty-seven wounds all over her body, and she couldn't even eat.
It took her seven months of treatment before her body was fully healed. She became one of the few survivors of the Nanjing Massacre.
In 2004, Li Xiuying died at the age of 86.
