Background of the event
In the past 10 years, art short films have received widespread attention from the film industry, various short film competitions have flourished, and various film celebrities have also joined the big team of supporting new directors, including Jia Zhangke, Jiao Xiongping, Zhou Chuanji and others. In all kinds of short film competitions, a number of outstanding young directors have been born, and Wen Muye, the director of "I Am Not a Medicine God" in the hot summer of 2018, "made his fortune" at the First Film Festival, and the major art film directors with excellent reputation on the theater line will also find their figures in the short film festival. In such a grand situation, film and television learners have been given more and more opportunities to display their talents.
In the discourse system recognized by most people, the film is ultimately to return to the audience. The image mapped through the physical medium is always recorded in the storage medium, it is always alive, and in the end, it is the frequency of finding resonance in the real world all his life, and what he gets is the audience's sadness and anger, empathy. The meeting between the creator and the audience can be seen as a practice that breaks the dimension, connecting the present and the past time and space of the birth of the work, the audience and the author stand on both sides of the mirror, and those who know my heart are also the ones. This practice can be said to be necessary and rare.
Introduction to the event theme
The essence of man is, in its reality, the sum of all social relations, so man has complex social attributes and plays different social roles. Due to the differences in objective physiological conditions, men and women have developed different social adaptations in the long history of human civilization, so they are often labeled with various labels.
"Female directors", as a relatively small part of the group portrait of directors, often become a category of attention, and love and prejudice coexist in the voices discussed.
The theme of this exhibition and exchange will be "female director and actress", and the term "female director" will be interpreted as "female, self-led, and interpretive life" from an objective standpoint, so that "female director" will be a feature rather than a special case. At that time, three domestic contemporary young female directors will be selected for screening, and the director himself will be invited to the audience to exchange and discuss. This event aims to explore the female directors in different growth backgrounds and different life stages, their perceptions of their own growth process, and the current living conditions of female filmmakers. I hope that through this activity, we can provide more dreamers on the film road, especially young women who are interested in entering the film and television industry, with valuable opportunities for experience exchange, help, and the strength to move forward.

Summer Secret
(2014)
Director: Zeng Gift
Genre: Drama / Language: Yiyang dialect Mandarin / Duration: 25 minutes
Synopsis: Mingyue, a 12-year-old girl who lost her father, ushered in the first menarche of her life after pushing her mother's lover into the water due to suspicion and jealousy in the summer vacation. But it all ended in her light and breezy summer vacation diary assignments, brilliant childhood-like descriptions. The film expresses the loneliness and shame of a little girl growing up, but also portrays the self-division and whitewashing of people in the face of the system.
"Summer Diary of the Bright Moon" has a unique poetry. The use of a large number of metaphorical symbols and subjective acoustic effects has left a great deal of room for interpretation of the language of the film. With the richest and most sensitive touch, the film presents the audience with a period of lonely and shameful growth. Mingyue looks directly into the camera and tears apart the hypocritical lie: we ignore the suffering of others not because we are unaware, but because the ingrained indifference in human nature has long determined that the truth is a heavy burden for everyone.
