According to public information, Dingqiao was founded in 2005, jointly established by Siemens Communications (now: Nokia + Siemens + Alcatel + Bell Communications) and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., focusing on the research and development and production of TDD technology and products; after entering the 4G era, Dingqiao fully entered the private network market in 2011, and applied solutions in TD-LTE in many fields; in 2016, it entered the Internet of Things market and became an important provider of IoT products and solutions In 2019, 5G products and solutions for vertical industries were launched.
At the 2021 Dingqiao Global Partner Summit, Dingqiao officially announced its entry into the 5G smart terminal market, of which the release of 5G high-end mobile phones is the key direction, if there is no accident, Dingqiao will still use Huawei technology products. In addition, Dingqiao has also established a 5G industry terminal and application innovation center in conjunction with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the Chengdu Municipal Government.
The reason why it is speculated that Dingqiao will use Huawei's mobile phone solution is because the two do have a relationship. Dingqiao CEO Deng Biao has worked at Huawei for nearly 22 years, joined Huawei in 1995, served as vice president of the regional department, president of the regional department, president of Agilent Network Technology Co., Ltd., etc. Huawei's rotating chairman Xu Zhijun is the chairman of Chengdu Dingqiao Communication Technology Co., Ltd., and Dingqiao's previous terminals also used Huawei's technology. But in essence, Huawei and Dingqiao are not affiliated, but an investment relationship.
Therefore, after Dingqiao entered the Internet industry for many years and laid out terminal products, it coincided with the obstruction of Huawei chips and the vacancy of the domestic 5G high-end mobile phone market, perhaps, at this time, entering high-end mobile phones is an opportunity.
