Reference News Network reported on July 12 that Sotheby's auction house said that on July 10, the original map of winnie the pooh 100 acres of forest created by artist Shepard auctioned a record price of 430,000 pounds (1 pound about 8.8 yuan - this online note).

According to Reuters on July 10, the map created for Milne's classic children's books was completed in 1926, setting the highest auction price ever for book illustrations. The map, which has not appeared in nearly half a century, easily exceeded the pre-auction estimate of £100,000 to £150,000.

The map appears on the front lining page of the original book, depicting Christopher Robin and his forest friend Yi'er and Xiao Bean.

40 years later, Winnie the Pooh played the lead role in the Disney movie Winnie the Pooh and Honey Tree, and through animation he gained his life in the first film in the series.

In addition to the map, there were other original winnie the pooh illustrations auctioned together, and the five figures totaled £917,500, up from a previous estimate of £310,000 to £440,000. (Compiler/Wei Xiaohui)
