More than 30 Shenzhen writers, poets and critics, including famous writer Deng Yiguang, cultural scholar Hu Yeqiu, and Zhu Tiejun, editor-in-chief of "Special Zone Literature", attended the meeting.
According to Zhu Tiejun, founded in January 1982, "Literature of the Special Administrative Region" is the only pure literary journal publicly distributed in Shenzhen, selected as a national literary core journal and a phalanx of Chinese periodicals, won the Guangdong Provincial Excellent Periodical Award for five consecutive years, and is the only literary journal in Guangdong Province that has won this honor for 20 consecutive years. "SPECIAL ZONE Literature" attaches great importance to creative writing, and in 2019, it specially opened a "creative writing" column to explore relevant writing talents. This time the creative writing base settled in Shanduo No. 1 Homestay, which has a good offline platform. Li Guoqin, chairman of Shanduo Group, said that Shanduo Culture will work with "Sar Literature" to hold creative writing lectures, style collection, work seminars, new book sharing meetings, recitations and other activities from time to time.
After the unveiling ceremony of the Creative Writing Base of "Special Zone Literature", a poetry reading of "Wild Children" was held. As the poet Fei Xinqian's own most valued collection of poems, "Wild Children" contains a total of 100 poems, mainly expressing the nostalgia of new immigrants in the city, focusing on literary motifs such as hometown, childhood, family affection, and "searching for roots". The poems collected in the poetry collection have been published in major literary journals across the country, such as "Poetry Journal", "Han Poetry", "Poetry Tide", "Hongdou", "Shandong Literature", "Yellow River Literature", "Hunan Literature", "Southern Literature" and so on. The collection of poems was supported by special funds for the development of cultural undertakings in Longhua District, Shenzhen, and was officially published in Unity Publishing House in November 2020.
