Today is May Fourth Youth Day, and 42 years have passed since I saw the approval of the regiment in 1979.

At that time, I was under 16 years old, and I was in full swing. The 8 students approved by the Youth League County Committee to join the regiment are all outstanding student representatives of the high school and junior high school of our Moshan United Middle School, the first 4 are high school students, and the last 4 are junior high school students.

42 years have passed, and then look at the 8 people who joined the group that year, after their own struggles, they have embarked on a completely different life path. There are scientists, there are policemen, there are township and town cadres, there are demobilized military cadres, there are peasants. The most beautiful of them is the last one, he is a scientist, Chang'e hero.

In 1979, the young students in the mountain village were restless, and it was their greatest wish to enter the university. ShanxiTou Village, where we are located, is known as Zhuangyuan Village because there are people who are admitted to the university secondary school every year, and the proportion of students who are admitted to the university in the rural areas of our county is the highest.

Happiness is all struggle, and this is not false at all. I remember that at that time, because there were no foreign language teachers in rural schools, it was more and more difficult to study, and later, the Middle School was canceled, and the high school had to go to the county town sixty or seventy miles away from home. Every week, I have to go home to get dry food, and the means of transportation to and from the city is bicycles. Pedal your bike on your own, riding on a gravel road, and if you don't pedal hard, someone will definitely catch up with you. People, all the same, everything depends on your efforts or not, the same is true for learning, without the hard work at that time, I could not walk out of that village. Opportunities are always given to those who spare no effort to strive.

42 years later, think about it now, the hardships at that time were not terrible, and the process confirmed a sentence: love to fight will win! Bitterness, a bite of the teeth will pass. And the glory after suffering is enough to make you reminisce endlessly.
