Iranian architect Mohammad hassan forouzanfar's fantastic Iranian monument works that look like images from a movie. Last time, I introduced one of his series of works, a video work that integrates contemporary landmark architectural elements with ancient Iranian ruins.

Another montage in his "retrofuturism" series depicts imaginary skyscrapers in an arid desert backdrop. Forouzanfar challenged the lack of verticality in traditional Iranian architecture and envisioned what it would look like if tall buildings were designed in the vernacular style.
In his project, Fourouzanfar places towering buildings in the midst of typical Iranian cities and villages. In a horizontal environment, skyscrapers stand out and can be seen from miles away. Old Iranian architecture retains the historical style, but at the same time incorporates modern skyscrapers and a surreal vertical aesthetic.
In this series of works, the designer defines the central idea as "back to the future". He sought to introduce the idea of historic architecture into an innovative, more modern world.
The low saturated tones with pastel tones give the image a surreal feel, creating an architectural mirage in the desert.
Due to the lack of modern beam and column technology, traditional Iranian memorial buildings are often built relatively low. Palaces, mosques, and public buildings all have only one or two floors, so Iranian architecture rarely has towers or high-rises.
In another series of projects, Fourouzanfar attempts to recreate Iran's famous monuments in the form of towers or high-rise buildings using montage techniques. In doing so, he envisions the use of the past to provide some kind of reference or imagination for future designs.
