According to a video taken by netizens, on the afternoon of October 18, a metal component of a Ferris wheel located near Jin'an Lake Park in Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, shook and fell to the ground.

According to public reports, the Ferris wheel project was developed and constructed by Longhu Group and Beijing Everbright Investment Co., Ltd.
Fuzhou News Network reported on September 2 this year that the highest Ferris wheel in the province, Fuzhou Aimo Wheel, has completed the installation of the central shaft, and will soon install the revolver and pod around the central axis. According to the report, the central shaft is the heaviest part of Fuzhou Aimolun, weighing more than 160 tons. On the same day, the construction party adopted the main crane of hundreds of tons of track crane and the auxiliary crane of hundreds of tons of track crane, and successfully completed the lifting.
At about 17:00 on October 18, Nandu reporters learned from the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Jin'an District of Fuzhou City that a Ferris wheel under construction collapsed next to Jin'an Lake Park, and the bureau had sent staff to the scene to deal with it.

According to the official website of The Government of Jin'an District of Fuzhou City on November 5, 2019, the Aimolun Commercial Plaza project is built by Fuzhou Jin'an District Guangzheng Aimolun Real Estate Co., Ltd., the construction site is south of Chemical Industry Road in Jin'an District, on the north side of Jin'an Lake, with a construction area of 40,688 square meters, and will build the highest Ferris wheel in the province.
