One late autumn afternoon, reliving a 1987 Hong Kong literary film "Autumn Fairy Tale"
The first time I saw this movie was through videotape, because the earliest Hong Kong and Taiwan films we came into contact with in that era were all watched through videotapes.
"Autumn Fairy Tale" is a work directed by Hong Kong director Zhang Wanting, based on her own real experience, the film mainly tells the story of a young and beautiful girl Li Qi graduated from college and went to New York from Hong Kong to find a boyfriend who went to the United States to develop together, but the result was to pick her up at the airport was the "bow ruler" introduced by relatives and friends, and her boyfriend (played by Chen Baiqiang) has transferred to love, Li Qi is disheartened
Fortunately, the "bow ruler" has been caring for, and slowly she has a good feeling for this untrimmed, rough behavior of the "bow ruler", and finally a girl with a high education and a wandering street boy staged an autumn fairy tale.
It is said that the original male protagonist "Bow Ruler" was first played by Xu Guanjie, and later Zhang Wanting insisted that Zhong Chuhong's initial partner Zhou Runfa, who had just finished filming "The True Colors of Heroes", played the role of "Bow Ruler" And sure enough, Zhou Runfa lived up to expectations and co-starred with Zhong Chuhong in one of the best literary and art films in the history of Hong Kong cinema.
