According to Semrush's analysis, Apple ranks among the top 15 Companies in the Fortune 100 for the most money spent on search ads. In 2020, the Cupertino tech giant invested $64.8 million in search ads that appear in results when users use search engines to find something. Seorush, a producer of SEO and targeting tools, used its own tools to analyze the monthly cost of traffic to obtain this data.

In the list of Fortune 100 companies, Apple ranks 12th overall, behind Nike at no. 11 and Walmart at No. 10.
Google's parent company Alphabet spent the most money on search ads in 2020, nearly $774 million. Amazon came in second with $471 million, while Microsoft came in fourth with $160 million.
Other companies in the top ten include Charter Communications, Progressive, AT&T, Verizon, StateFarm and The Home Depot.
Advertisers spend an estimated $59.22 billion on paid search ads overall, with Fortune 100 companies responsible for about $3.05 billion. Paid search ads are based on a pay-per-click model, and companies only pay for them when they click on an ad.
Semrush calculated its data using the average click-through rate and the targeting of the domain's keywords in its database in the top eight paid locations on Google ads.
