At present, Taihe County has built 1 Taihe Black Chicken Conservation Area, 1 state-level seed preservation farm, 2 first-class breeding farms, and 23 large-scale breeding enterprises, and it is expected to raise 3 million Taihe black chickens per year, sell more than 36 million fresh eggs of Thai and black chickens per year, and the annual industrial output value is nearly 1.7 billion yuan, which has become a magic weapon for local rural revitalization.

Purify and rejuvenate, polish the gold signboard. Taihe County has always taken the stability and quality improvement of the genetic traits of Taihe black chicken as the main direction of attack for the development of the black chicken industry, while building a platform for the protection of germplasm resources and doing a good job in purification and rejuvenation, in accordance with the principle of scientific layout and appropriate concentration, chengjiang, Nanxi, Tangzhou, Mashi and Yanxi are listed as the core development areas of the Taihe black chicken industry, and the implementation of unified technical specifications, unified provision of chicken seedlings, unified feed formula, unified disease prevention and control "four unified" ecological breeding model. In 2017, the county raised more than 35 million yuan to start the construction of a state-level seed preservation farm, Xintaihe Chicken Original Breeding Farm, in Wushan, the birthplace of Taihe Wuji. The new farm covers an area of about 280 acres, with an annual stock of up to 30,000 breeding chickens and 2 million seedlings to the society. In March this year, through public bidding, the Aonong Group Aoxin Wuji Development Co., Ltd. was introduced for custody and operation, and invested more than 12 million yuan to purchase and install first-class intelligent control equipment such as breeding, incubation and manure treatment in China, ensuring the implementation of taihe wu chicken breeding purification and disease purification.

Focus on scientific research and grasp docking. In 2007, Jiangxi Wangpitu Wuji Development Co., Ltd. was established. At the beginning of its establishment, the company signed a scientific research cooperation agreement with the Food College of Nanchang University, and promoted the processing innovation of Taihe Black Chicken with the help of the scientific research strength of the Food College of Nanchang University. After years of development, the enterprise has become the largest enterprise in the country specializing in the processing of Thai and black chickens, from flow-through slaughtering and processing to cooked food processing, not only has an annual production capacity of 10 million pigeons, but also forms a full chain closed loop from breeding, production to sales. In addition, the first domestic black chicken peptide extraction production line is also landed in the enterprise, with an annual production of 3,000 tons of black chicken peptide wine, which can achieve an output value of 500 million yuan.

The county actively guides black chicken enterprises to connect with scientific research institutes and vigorously develop new products. Up to now, the county has developed more than 130 varieties of black chicken products in 8 series. While grasping the research and development of new products, the county has specially arranged 800 acres of land in the food industrial park for the development of black chicken food processing, and through investment promotion, it has now absorbed 4 enterprises engaged in the deep processing of black chicken food to settle in the park, processing and digesting more than 2 million black chickens.

According to Xiao Xiaoyong, deputy director of the Taihe Wuji Industry Development Center of Taihe County, at present, Taihe County has included the development of the wuji industry into the "14th Five-Year Plan" and is committed to building a 10 billion Taihe wuji industry. The Taihe County government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhejiang University to prepare for the establishment of Zhejiang University - Taihe Wuji Industrial Technology Research and Development Center, focusing on supporting Taihe Wuji culture and brand building and dissemination, telling the story of Taihe Wuji, and helping the development of Taihe Wuji industry through culture and brand building. At the same time, as one of the top 10 agricultural product public area brands in the province, Taihe Wuji will land on CCTV in the fourth quarter with the "2021 Ecological Poyang Lake Green Agricultural Products Brand Creation Advertisement".
