How much energy did Prince Zhu San really have? Can it really torture the 3rd emperor of the Qing Dynasty? It turned out to be another hidden affair

I am Tang Di, a history buff. Welcome everyone [attention] I, let's talk about the past and the present, and discuss the general trend of the world. Gentleman I, just to learn and make friends!

The first appearance of the third prince of Zhu was in the eighth year of Shunzhi (1651), when it was reported that the three princes of the former Ming Chongzhen Emperor were hiding in the people, and were captured by the government and strictly interrogated. The prince himself wrote a confession, claiming to be the third son of Chongzhen, named Cihuan (note: Chongzhen's third prince named Cijiong, was crowned as the DingWang, here I don't know why I mistook Cihuan?). Ci Huan was actually the Fifth Prince), twenty years old, and his brother Ci Xuan,or Dong Gong, was also born after Zhou; his brother Ci Can (according to his fourth prince's name, Ci Zhuo, somehow mistakenly became Ci Can), Tian Fei was born. Huan lived in Jingren Palace, nursing mothers Deng and Jiang, studied at the age of eight, and lectured and read officials Fu and Zhang.

When the "thief" committed the crime, emperor Xian entrusted Yu Zhang to serve and command Huang Gui, send the Zhou Emperor's family, not to accept, hidden in the people, in order to break out, with the camp to Shanhaiguan. Defeated, carried to Tongguan, with the camp to Jingxiang, encountered Zuo Liangyu, broke through and scattered, that is, with the left camp, changed his surname to Huang. The left soldiers were defeated by Huang Degong, and the troops took Huang Wei captive on the left soldier ship, zhang jinshi told the truth, and Huang Wei kept it a secret. Later, he wandered into Taihu Lake, Xiaofeng, and Yu Qian. In May of the fifth year of Shunzhi, he cut his hair and became a monk, with the name of Yun'an, or Yijian, or Qiyun, and wandered in various temples in Jiangbei. In March of the eighth year, he married the daughter of Xia Mingqing, a taiping official, and in April, he borrowed twenty-two silver from Wuhu and bought fine tea with the emblem merchant Wang Lixian to sell in Suzhou. After selling tea, he accompanied Yang Xiufu and Wu Zhong from Changzhou to Changzhou, but Unexpectedly, Wu Zhong surrendered to fuyuan yamen, and the fuyuan officials sent them to Taiping and Jiangning.

There are many doubts about this matter, and it is already a big loophole to make the names of the three princes and the fourth prince wrong; even if he enters Zuo Liangyu's army, Zuo Liangyu is sending troops to the east to the side of the Qing Emperor under the pretext of "following the secret edict of the prince", so why don't the three princes raise the banner of the three princes and justifiably condemn Ma Shiying, but instead keep it secret? Huang Fei captured the Third Prince, and Zhang Jinshi told the truth, why did he keep it secret and not announce it, and then went to support the King of Yiyang? Wouldn't it be strange to do all this! No wonder the case has not caused any repercussions, it is too outrageous.

The third prince of Zhu reappeared in the twelfth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1673). In Beijing, there was a man named Yang Qilong, also known as Zhu Cixuan, who claimed to be the third prince of Zhu, established a political power, had the era name Guangde, appointed university scholars, military divisions, governors and other officials, contacted Zheng Chenggong's department to lower the Qing generals, and prepared for the uprising. Due to the leak, Prince Zhu San fled. After that, some people in Shaanxi claimed to be the third prince of Zhu, who was arrested by the Fuyuan general Tu Hai and sent to Beijing for execution in the nineteenth year of Kangxi (1690). Cai Yin, a Native of Fujian, also claimed to be the Third Prince of Zhu, and led tens of thousands of troops to join forces with Zheng Jing in Taiwan to attack Zhangzhou, where he was defeated by Huang Fangshi, the Duke of Haicheng.

The case of Prince Zhu San, which really attracted the attention of the Qing court, occurred in the forty-sixth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1707). Coincidentally, they also honored Zhu Cihuan (rather than Zhu Cijiong) as the third prince of Zhu. It is said that this person is a descendant of the Ming Dynasty royal family, alias Wang Shiyuan, who lives everywhere and is used by some anti-Qing people as a banner for the restoration of the Ming Dynasty. When Li Xu, a close confidant of the Kangxi Emperor and a weaver of Suzhou, learned of this, he quickly reported it to the emperor in the form of a secret fold.

On the seventh day of the first month of December in the 46th year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Li Xu's "Wen Taicang Someone Started an Incident" said:

"When the thieves heard about the Yongle Nunnery, the north gate of Taicang Prefecture, on November 26, there were suddenly many strong thieves, wrapping their heads in red cloth, erecting the banner of Daming, and robbing the people. Wen Wu Yamen knew the wind, led the military service to pursue Lin surname and other criminals, and the subject heard about this matter in Yangzhou, and Li Ensemble heard about it. Chen Xu now sent people to carefully check the names of the leaders, a number of people in the wings, and whereabouts... Check the situation and play again".

A few days later, Li Xu's "Taicang Yi nian monks gathered together to cause trouble" said:

"On the seventh day of the first month of December, the thief heard about the Taicang theft, that is, Wang Kecheng, a family member with a secret fold, played the song and heard about it. (Kangxi Zhu Comment: "I have not seen Wang Kecheng [Cheng] bring a secret fold, Cha Ming Song.") On the other hand, the minister sent people to Taicang to investigate the place under the jurisdiction of Liu Hexun in Taicang, and on the fifth day of november, there were strong thieves who robbed Lu San, a member of the Kaidian Shop, and his home... On November 26, at the time of unitary work, a large number of strong thieves suddenly appeared in the Yongle Nunnery outside the North Gate, wrapped their heads in red cloth, erected flags, and claimed to want to enter the prefecture to rob the treasury, and the civil and military officials led the troops to capture them, and immediately scattered and fled, obtaining more than ten people, including the traitors Qian Bao and Wang Yuheng, and confessed that there was a monk who gave a message to Zha Ganzhong."

At the beginning of the 47th year of Kangxi, Li Xu received Kangxi's imperial approval that "there are thieves in Simingshan, Zhejiang, and er's secret visit is clear", immediately sent someone to investigate, and in February wrote "Zhejiang Simingshan Zhang Twenty-first Class Officers and Soldiers Who Resisted the Enemy" to report:

"It was found that in early November last year, led by Zhang Twenty-one and Zhang Twenty-two brothers from Shengxian County, Shaoxing Province, and Shi Eryuan, a man from Wuzhen, Huzhou, who sold medicine to Shi Eryuan as a military master, incited the people's hearts and minds, and gathered in the Yangjiaodian area of Cixi County, Ningbo Province... The courtiers also heard of the thieves Zhang Junyu and Zhang Junxi, who had been captured in Suzhou, that is, Zhang 21 and Zhang 22 of Zhejiang Province."

Kangxi immediately replied with a Zhu pen: "Has the thief been jing?" Revisit and play again. What are the crowd talking about?"

Li Xu made a report on March 24 of the same year:

"Now that I have found out that there are no remnants of the Four Ming Mountains, there are no remaining thieves, and the former thieves confessed that there were still more than the rest of the people in the old camp, all of which were false words, and the people were blocked as before... The chancellor also heard that Zhang Twenty confessed to Zhu San,and Zhu Feng, the second son of Zhu San, and the youngest son Zhu Zai, Zhu Kun, kangxi for forty-four years, Were captured in Changxing County, Huzhou, and were imprisoned in Zhejiang for a long time. However, the third prince of Zhu was not received. The brothers of Ye Boyu, the thief in the present-day Jiangning Fu case, confessed: Prince Zhu San fled to Cao County, Shandong Province, with Dong Zaichen and Pu Erzhu, or to Flee to Huoshan County with Yu Xianglin, and the trial officer is now secretly divided."

Later, Li Xu successively reported that the third prince of Zhu was captured in Shandong and escorted to Zhejiang for trial; the monk Yinian was captured in Meiyan Erguantang in Wujiang County and escorted to Zhejiang for trial.

On July 24, the monk Yinian was executed by Ling Chi, and on October 5, the third prince of Zhu (Wang Shiyuan) was executed by Ling Chi at the age of seventy-five, and his five sons were beheaded at the same time.

Obviously, the mystery of who the Zhu San prince in this case of The Third Prince of Zhu is is indeed difficult to decipher. Meng Sen's "After the Martyrdom of Emperor Minglie" verifies that The Third Prince of Zhu (Wang Shiyuan) was the fourth son (i.e. CiZhuan) of the Chongzhen Emperor. This possibility cannot be said to be non-existent, but it is very small, because the fourth prince Chongzhen was ten years old when he was seventeen years old, and by the forty-sixth year of Kangxi, he was already a dying old man in his seventies, how could he run around with a monk?

How much energy did Prince Zhu San really have? Can it really torture the 3rd emperor of the Qing Dynasty? It turned out to be another hidden affair

It seems that the so-called Zhu San Prince is most likely an idol of the folk pretense, because after the Ming Zheng canonical punishment of this Zhu San Prince, another Zhu San Prince appeared, which is the son of Zhu Yigui, who rebelled in Taiwan in the sixtieth year of Kangxi (1721), who called himself the Third Prince of Zhu, who was originally in Xiao Xitian, and had set out for Guangxi, with hundreds of thousands of people. The Yongzheng Emperor made a relatively calm analysis of this:

"During the former Kangxi Dynasty, traitors stole hair everywhere, and often used the name of The Third Prince of Zhu, such as a monk and a nobleman of Zhu Yigui.

It can be seen that Prince Zhu San is just an idol of false trust. The political energy of Prince Zhu San was so great that I am afraid that Emperor Chongzhen himself did not expect it in any way during his lifetime!
