In recent years, Shadong Street in Tianhe District, Guangzhou Has organically combined the garbage classification work in the urban villages and the Baiyun Mountain greenery plan to create a garden landscape star-rated delivery point, changing the image of "dirty and messy" in the past and enhancing the satisfaction and happiness of the masses.

Residents of urban villages believe that garbage classification "does not concern themselves", and the garbage drop-off point does not meet the "six elements" standard... In the Ganyuan area of Fanwu Community on Shadong Street, the urban village was once a "forgotten corner".

Since 2019, Shadong Street has focused on the construction of green communities, focusing on the three-year environmental remediation action of the Baiyun Mountain around the Baiyun Mountain, involving wuxian bridge gate gang, Ganyuan road section and Lianquan road section.

In March last year, Shadong Street combined the characteristics of the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Line on Ganyuan Road to build a garbage classification star drop-off point in a small park at the entrance of Baiyun Mountain at the intersection of Ganyuan Road. The appearance integrates the architectural characteristics of baiyun mountain landscape, with a complete garbage classification and collection container, and the release window adopts a non-contact induction device, so that residents can easily put garbage without touching anywhere. At the same time, it is equipped with hand sanitizer and handwashing sink to facilitate residents to clean after putting garbage.

In order to do a good job in the classification of garbage in urban villages, Shadong Street adheres to the leadership of party building to ensure that the guarantee is in place, the publicity is in place, the facilities are in place, and the supervision is in place. The Fanwu Community Party Branch mobilized more than 100 incumbent party members and more than 60 party members and volunteers to report back to the community, continued to stand barrel guidance, and cooperated with the street comprehensive security center to carry out "building washing" door-to-door publicity. Through the on-site guidance and publicity of star-rated delivery points, stall-style theme publicity, intensive door-to-door publicity, dispatch-style publicity and other forms, the "home classification, regular carrying downstairs, fixed point accurate investment" deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

At the same time, a "five-person team" for garbage classification inspection was set up to inspect and supervise the garbage classification and delivery points in the whole street, and to supervise and rectify the problems such as inadequate cleaning and maintenance at the release points, damaged and obsolete, point peripheral barrels, and buckets that were not removed outside the regular release period; Adhere to the problem-oriented, the urban management of the community neighborhood committee inspects at least 20 delivery points every week, finds problems and promptly supervises the implementation of rectification and reform of the property and sanitation, and does not let go of a problem and leaves no dead end.

Through continuous publicity, station barrel guidance and inspection supervision, the awareness rate of garbage classification among residents in Ganyuan Area has reached more than 98%, and the classification rate has reached 83%, and the old appearance of Ganyuan Road Small Park has been renewed and has become a new scenic spot in the landscape of Baiyun Mountain. "Let the residents remember homesickness, not worry." The relevant person in charge of Shadong Street said that the garbage classification in Ganyuan Area has achieved remarkable results, from 30 barrels / day that were not classified in the past, to 14 barrels to 16 barrels of other garbage per day after classification, 5 barrels to 8 barrels of kitchen waste, and residents took the initiative to separate the dry and wet garbage, improving the community living environment and improving the quality of life of residents.
