Nearly 50 plays from all over the country will appear in the drama festival, and a variety of international forums, theme activities, art markets, etc. around drama will also "happen in Liangshan".

This year's drama festival focuses on the "national tide", focusing on the red national tide, the drama national tide and the national national tide, supplemented by seven major content fulcrums such as drama exhibition, drama forum, drama education, drama life, drama incubation, drama cultural creation, and drama tourism, fully demonstrating the style of "national tide".

Performances include drama, opera, children's drama, national opera, dance drama, experimental drama and other genres. The drama "Li Bai", "Leaning Tower of Pisa", Peking Opera "Wise Tiger Mountain", experimental opera "Old People's Heart", national opera "Hearing Soma", dance drama "Mulan", Daliangshan native song collection "Catch the Set", ethnic minority song and dance "Flowers", "UlanMu Riding" and three editions of "Hamlet", etc., alternately appeared in 14 performance venues in the exhibition space such as fire space, wood space and water space.

At the same time, this year's drama festival, like the previous two years, relies on liangshan prefecture's unique natural scenery, humanistic style and ethnic customs, emphasizing the attributes of "natural stage and natural form".

During the drama festival, dozens of domestic art colleges and universities will jointly hold an art education summit forum, and open a "drama master class" to start classes on the spot; theater incubation projects such as "Young Drama Talent Program" and "Customized Repertoire" will also continue to be carried out to support the development of young dramatists.

Considering the needs of epidemic prevention and control, this year's drama festival will adopt a combination of online and offline methods. The "Drama is Life - Vajiva" theatrical video platform for theater people will be launched during the festival. In addition, the World Lighting Engineer Conference hosted by the Lighting Professional Committee of the China Stage Art Society will land in Daliangshan for the first time, and the Script Copyright Fair will also be held during the Drama Festival, and copyright trading activities will be held through online and offline methods.

"The Daliangshan International Drama Festival may carry different things from many other festivals." Liu Kang, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the liangshan cultural tourism group, the operating unit of the drama festival, said that as a cultural state-owned enterprise, the festival is more to consolidate the achievements in poverty alleviation and promote rural revitalization, and use drama to pull the entire industrial chain of tourism in Liangshan, and ultimately serve the social development and people of Liangshan.

As the only drama festival held in China in winter, the Daliangshan International Theatre Festival was co-sponsored in 2019 by 25 artists and cultural scholars, including Pu Cunxin, Liao Changyong, Ji Di Majia, Alai, Qian Wenzhong, Li Ting, Wang Xiaoying, Huang Dingshan, Hao Rong, Ren Dongsheng, Tan Weiwei, and Ayunga.
