The fourth company of the Second Reconnaissance Brigade of the Kunming Military Region went to Yunnan to reconnoiter part of the operation

China's Economy and Trade (Wei Sanjun, reporting)

Former Reconnaissance Company of the 129th Division of the 43rd Army, July 1984 to May 1985)

1. Won the honorary title of "Heroic Reconnaissance Company"

The reconnaissance company of the 129th Infantry Division participated in the round battle with a total of 136 men (including 2 interpreters, 1 trainee staff officer, and 4 reconnaissance sections), and since July 1984, it has fought behind enemy lines nine times. Captured 5 enemies (1 of whom died of serious wounds), killed 35 enemies, wounded 18 enemy, captured 1 light machine gun, 5 submachine guns, 61 grenades, more than 4,000 bullets, and some letters, documents, and materials, and guided the artillery to destroy 5 enemy barracks, and was awarded the honorary title of "Heroic Reconnaissance Company" by the former Kunming Military Region.

On September 3, 1984, the company successfully broke through the Vietnamese Palan checkpoint, captured the enemy's defensive positions, blew up most of the fortifications on the heights, and captured a batch of booty. In October, in order to ascertain the enemy's situation in front of Yin Shan and prevent enemy agents from infiltrating our front-line defensive positions, the company organized troops to set up ambushes in the Long En area for 18 consecutive days and nights, captured 1 sergeant of the Vietnamese border defense army, killed 3 enemies, and captured 1 light machine gun and 1 submachine gun. On March 2, Company Commander Sun Yingpei, Staff Officer Wang Wenwen, Instructor Zhao Qiujiang, and Staff Officer Zhang Qirui each led three groups to pass under the mountain of the enemy's heavily guarded camp, crawled through the thorny bushes for more than 3 hours, secretly touched the enemy's housing, unexpectedly, boldly captured prisoners, and after 6 minutes of fierce fighting, without firing a single shot, they captured all 4 Vietnamese troops in the room. The enemy exclaimed: "This is the worst loss." In the 815 Highland Capture Battle, when the enemy's various firepower came together to the capture group, in order to avoid the wounding of the captives, 4 comrades of the company pounced on the prisoners, resulting in the death of one of us and the wounding of two. The squad leader Zhang Zhubing completely ignored the 5 wounds on his body and resolutely carried the prisoners back to evacuate.

The 14 cadres of the company have taken the lead in all the battles, are not afraid of bloodshed and sacrifice, and are vying to undertake the most arduous and dangerous tasks. For example, in the ambush and capture battle in front of the 815 Highland Front, Company Commander Sun Yingpei served as the leader of the capture group, instructor Zhao Qiujiang and deputy company commander Wang Chuanzhi served as the leader of the attack group, deputy instructor Chen Qing personally shot anti-aircraft machine guns, a long platoon of Ma Xiuyin hit 82 recoilless guns, chen Bugao, the third platoon commander, was responsible for hitting heavy machine guns, the second platoon commander Xu Shenghua and the military doctor Zhou Yejian were responsible for rescue, and liang Junlin, the commander of the communications platoon, was responsible for organizing a militia stretcher team, effectively ensuring the completion of the combat task.

While satisfactorily accomplishing its combat tasks, the company attached great importance to doing a good job in the work of border residents. Our village of Daka is only 200 meters away from the border, and many people have relatives with the Vietnamese side, close contacts, and complicated personnel situations. On the one hand, the company took the initiative to demand that it be stationed in the village; on the one hand, it carried out in-depth and extensive ideological education work; on the other hand, it dug canals for the masses, repaired fish ponds, harvested rice, cut hair, and trained militiamen. In several battles, the militia of this village took the initiative to send intelligence to the company, act as guides, carry the wounded, and stand guard, making Daka an advanced unit in the struggle against the enemy in border defense, which was highly praised by the leaders of Yunnan Province and Wenshan Prefecture.

Second, the platoon and class of the first class meritorious service

1. The second platoon of the reconnaissance company of the 129th Infantry Division

Since entering the war in July 1984, the platoon has fought behind enemy lines seven times, capturing 5 enemy (1 of whom died of serious wounds), killing 25 enemies, wounding 11 enemies, capturing 5 submachine guns, 41 grenades, more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition, and some letters, documents and materials. The platoon leader Zhang Zhubing was awarded the honorary title of "Hero of Capture" by the Central Military Commission, and 6 soldiers were awarded the first class merit, and the platoon was awarded the collective first class merit.

In late February 1985, in order to find out the deployment of enemy forces in the Tianpeng area, the platoon was ordered to attack and capture the enemy troops in Huaga Village. On the morning of March 2, the capture group arrived at the outskirts of Huaga Village, they carefully observed the movement in the village, and then touched the village, under the guidance of the guide, taking advantage of the quarrel between the people in the village and the barking of the dogs, the platoon leader Zhang Zhubing crossed the courtyard wall and went straight to the enemy's house, kicked the door with his feet, and broke into the room, 4 Vietnamese soldiers were stunned, 2 Vietnamese soldiers lying on the bed were just about to take their guns and resist, he went forward and violently clamped down on 1 enemy with his right arm, and clamped down on another enemy with his left arm. The platoon soldier Xie Bing was in a hurry, jumped on the bed, and held up two flashlights with both hands to illuminate the prisoner catchers. After the captives subdued the enemy, Xie Bing immediately surrendered four Soviet submachine guns. When a Vietnamese soldier entered the ambush circle during the capture of the enemy's 815 position, the platoon leader Zhang Xinxian quickly jumped up and pounced on the enemy. The enemy pulled the grenade, he was shocked by the shock wave and fainted, and when he woke up, he still assisted his comrades in dragging the wounded enemy back. In short, under the leadership of platoon leader Xu Shenghua, the whole platoon united as one, was heroic and tenacious, and successfully completed the combat task.

2. The fourth squad of the reconnaissance company of the 129th Infantry Division

In the early morning of March 2, 1984, the squad of trappers arrived at the outskirts of Huaga Village for observation, then went inside the village and quickly approached the enemy's house under the leadership of the guide while the people in the village were quarreling. Squad leader Zhang Zhubing crossed the courtyard wall straight to the enemy house, kicked the door with his foot, broke into the room, 4 Vietnamese soldiers were stunned, lying on the bed 2 Vietnamese soldiers were just about to take guns to resist, he went forward and violently clamped down on 1 enemy with his right arm, and Shunshi clamped down on the other enemy with his left arm. The capture group rushed in, tied the enemy unconscious with flashlights and fists, and quickly retreated. On September 2, the squad took part in the battle to break the enemy Banlan checkpoint. Under the leadership of the squad leader Zhang Zhubing, he rushed to the main front of the highlands, killed 3 enemy soldiers, and destroyed the enemy checkpoint. On October 30, during the ambush and capture battle in front of the "815" Highland Front, when a Vietnamese soldier entered our ambush circle, the first prisoner of capture rushed over and locked the enemy's throat, so that the capture was successful.

In short, under the leadership of the squad leader Zhang Zhubing, the whole squad fought bravely and participated in the battle many times. In the whole class, one comrade was awarded the first-class capture hero by the Central Military Commission, three comrades were awarded the first class merit, three comrades were awarded the second class merit, and three comrades were awarded the third class merit.

3. Sixth squad of reconnaissance company of the 129th Infantry Division

In late February 1985, in order to find out the deployment of enemy forces in the Tianpeng area, the squad was ordered to attack and capture the enemy troops in Huaga Village. On the morning of March 2, the capture group arrived at the outskirts of Huaga Village, carefully observed the movement in the village, and then touched the village, and under the guidance of the guide, took advantage of the quarrels of the people in the village and the barking of the dogs, and quickly approached the enemy's house. They broke through the door and rushed into the room, the enemy was dying and struggling, desperately resisting, and they slammed their fists into the enemy's head. Because the darkness in the room brought inconvenience to the battle, the warrior Xie Bing was in a hurry, jumped on the bed, and held up two flashlights with both hands to illuminate the capture hands. After the capturers subdued the enemy, Xie Bing immediately surrendered four Soviet-style submachine guns, and the comrades who served as cover outside the house promptly drove away the onlookers and opened a way for the trappers to retreat. While capturing a prisoner of the enemy's 815 position, when a Vietnamese soldier entered the ambush circle, Zhang Xinxian quickly jumped up and pounced on the enemy. The enemy fired the grenade, he was stunned by the shock wave, and when he woke up, he assisted his comrades in dragging the wounded enemy (who later died of his wounds) back. During the 774 infiltration reconnaissance, the squad penetrated 6.7 kilometers into the enemy area, checked the situation of the enemy troops on the high ground, and then guided the artillery to carry out shelling, killing and wounding more than 30 Vietnamese troops.

Under the leadership of squad leader Zhang Xinxian, the whole squad accomplished the combat task excellently. Three comrades were awarded the first class merit, four comrades were awarded the second class merit, and three comrades were awarded the third class merit.

3. Zhang Zhubing, the "first-class capture hero"

The fourth company of the Second Reconnaissance Brigade of the Kunming Military Region went to Yunnan to reconnoiter part of the operation

Comrade Zhang Zhubing, a native of Wuxue City, Hubei Province, joined the army in 1979, a member of the Communist Party of China, and the fourth squad leader of the reconnaissance company of the 129th Infantry Division. After enlisting, they were first assigned to the reconnaissance platoon of the special service company of the 387th Regiment of the 129th Division. He is 1.75 meters tall and has a strong body. The skin is darker and is a good material for scouts. During training, he is very able to endure hardships, and the scouts are relatively good at all kinds of skills. In 1984, the 43rd Army held a military competition to celebrate the 64th Major Competition. At that time, I was the deputy chief of the reconnaissance section of the 129th Division, and I led a top class to participate in the scout competition of the 43rd Group Army at the Pishan Training Ground in Ruzhou City (where the military teaching brigade was stationed), and our division achieved excellent results. As the top squad leader, Zhang Zhubing performed outstandingly and gave him a third-class merit. In July 1984, he participated in the "Lao Shan" reconnaissance round battle, and every time I went out to reconnoiter on the front line, I basically picked him to go, because he was militarily strong, more clever, and very brave. I remember that in the first reconnaissance operation against Vietnam, he was wounded and admitted to the hospital, and his wounds were not well, he secretly ran to the troops, and then participated in the second reconnaissance operation, the 815 Highland Front Capture and Capture Operation. In this battle, he performed very prominently and was awarded the first class merit. Especially in the Tianpeng area of Funing County, Yunnan, at that time, he was even more prominent in the attack on the enemy Huaga Village, the first to rush into the enemy's house, the first to suppress the enemy, and at once to hold two enemies with his hands. After the war, he was awarded the title of First Class Capture Hero, signed by the chairman of the Deng Xiaoping Military Commission. In the one-year reconnaissance round battle, Zhang Zhubing participated in 7 prisoner-capture battles and served as the first prisoner-taker 5 times. The fourth class he led was awarded the first class of collective merit, three comrades were awarded first class merit, four comrades were awarded second class merit, and the remaining two were awarded third class merit. He deserves to be a good soldier, worthy of a good scout, he is worthy of a real first-class "capture hero".

Seven, two typical examples of warfare

1. An example of an ambush and prisoner-of-prisoner of war in front of the 815 High Ground Front

From late July to late August 1984, more than a month after reaching the front line, none of the 25 reconnaissance companies of the five reconnaissance brigades had fought their first battle. In this case, in order to find out the situation of the enemy in front of us and provide timely information to the front-line chiefs, we repeatedly observed at the Observation Post at Nala Hou Shan for nearly a month and repeatedly led the team to infiltrate into the territory of Vietnam at 400 meters in front of the 815 Highlands for close reconnaissance, and found that the enemy of the 815 Highlands Defense set up two mines on the 200-meter and 300-meter paths in front of the position (facing the direction of our army) at sunset every day, and retrieved the mines at about 7 o'clock the next morning, so every day. Form a pattern in the short term. Judging from this, the enemy who takes mines is my best target for capturing prisoners, the best time for me to capture when the enemy takes mines, and the best opportunity for me to capture prisoners when the enemy takes the second mine. After finding out the law of the enemy's activities, analyzing and judging and making up our minds, we organized and drew up a plan for pre-line capture and capture operations, which was approved by the reconnaissance brigade and the forward commander. In order to ensure the suddenness and foolproofness of the action, I organized all the groups participating in the battle to go to the observation post in batches to observe, select similar terrain for simulation training, so that everyone can further familiarize themselves with the enemy situation in the ambush area, the terrain, the route of receiving the enemy, the location of the ambush, the command position, and the coordination method; fix and camouflage the weapons and equipment that are prone to sound and reflection with black tape, and the face of each capturer is painted with advertising colors close to grass and other plants. The groups were fully prepared for combat by 12:00 on 1 September 1984.

At 3 p.m. on September 1, we organized the whole company for pre-war mobilization and issued combat orders. The whole company was divided into five groups: the first group was a capture group, led by company company Sun Yingpei, who was mainly responsible for the task of capturing and detaining prisoners; the second group was a flank attack group, led by instructor Zhao Qiujiang and deputy company commander Wang Chuanzhi, who was mainly responsible for attacking the flanks of the 815 highlands, attacking the enemy on the 815 highlands with firepower and stopping the pursuing enemy, and occupying the 815 highlands, and cooperating with the capture group; the third group was the command fire group, equipped with 82 recoilless guns, heavy machine guns, light machine guns, sniper rifles and other firepower. Liu Weiguo was responsible for the organization and command of the entire operation, attacking the enemy and reinforcement enemies on the 815 heights with firepower, and covering the actions of each group; the fourth group was the rescue group, led by the second platoon commander Xu Shenghua and Dr. Zhou, who was mainly responsible for treating the wounded and receiving the retreat of each group; the fifth group was the 120 mortar fire support group, commanded by the captain Kong Mi. According to the predetermined battle plan, each group arrived at the predetermined position in the early morning of the 2nd. At 7:10 a.m., the sun had just risen, and two enemies came out of the 815 heights fortifications, stood on the high ground and looked around, and after not finding anything unusual, one of the enemies was on the high ground with a gun to monitor, and the other enemy came down from the high ground and took mines on a path leading to us. At this time, under the leadership of company company Sun Yingpei, 8 prisoners had already made various preparations for the implementation of captivity here. When Liu Weiguo issued a "fight" password, light machine guns, heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, 82 recoilless guns and other light and heavy firepower concentrated on the enemy on the high ground to destroy the enemy first, 120 mortars with firepower to suppress the enemy and enemy artillery positions in the enemy's rear highlands. At the same time as the fire was struck, the capture group sheathed like a sword and suddenly jumped up to capture an enemy who had taken a mine. However, this action alarmed the enemy in the surrounding 3 highlands, and intensive fire was concentrated on the capture group. When the capturer Ding Xiaobing was holding the enemy who took the thunder, an enemy shell landed on his side, and with a loud noise, Ding Xiaobing's right arm was blown off on the spot, and Zhou Qilin, the deputy squad leader of the second squad, was killed on the spot. At this critical juncture, I promptly commanded the flanking attack group to attack the enemy's high ground and occupy the 815 heights to block the enemy's reinforcements; directed the fire group to suppress the enemy's fire and win time for the capture group to retreat; and commanded the rescue team to overcome all difficulties, do everything possible to treat the wounded, and retreat back into the territory. After nearly half an hour of fierce fighting, we killed 3 enemy soldiers in a row, captured one enemy and captured some guns, ammunition and weapons. At 9.50 a.m., all wounded, sacrificed and prisoners were withdrawn into the territory.

There are several distinctive characteristics of this prisoner-and-take operation: First, it is very difficult to carry out the capture in broad daylight; second, it is a great threat to carry out the capture of prisoners at the front of the enemy's position; third, the capture of prisoners is a tiger's mouth and teeth, and the danger is great; fourth, this operation is both a prisoner-and-capture battle and an attack on the enemy's high ground; it is not only a coordinated attack and capture operation of scouts, but also a special battle in which various firepower is comprehensively used and coordinated with each other. In short, it was the first battle of the "Two Mountains" reconnaissance operation on the front line that our four reconnaissance companies were launched. This battle, first, provided important information for the front-line commanders in a timely manner (the prisoners' names were Fan Hongguang and Middle-earth); second, set an example for the entire front-line reconnaissance unit; third, it further stimulated the morale and courage of the entire front-line scouts in reconnaissance operations; and fourth, it created a classic example of our army's capture of prisoners in front of the front and the mouth of the tiger.

2. Huaga attacked and captured prisoner of war

In order to actively attack the Vietnamese army, expand the results of the battle, and strive for greater victories, on February 6, 1985, our company dispatched more than 60 officers and men from the Yin Shan area in Yunnan to the Tian Phong area to take the initiative to find fighter planes and actively carry out the task of attacking and capturing prisoners. Tian Phong was located at the junction of Yunnan and Guangxi, and the enemies in front of him were the 1st battalion and 8th battalion of the Miao Wang of the Vietnamese Army and the 101 and 102 public security tuns. Since the 1979 operation, the Vietnamese army has occupied the key points of the line. Located in Yangshan, the 102nd Public Security Tuntun Department dispatched 1 squad of troops to each of the 1690 Highlands, 1422 Highlands, 1561 Highlands, and 1234 Highlands to defend, and at the same time sent 1 reconnaissance and mobilization working group to Huaga, Tiyan Laozhai, and Xinzhai, each with 3 to 4 people, and the main task was to reconnoiter and collect information and control the border people of the two countries.

In order to ascertain and verify the detailed enemy situation of the enemy in front of Tian Phong, we led the reconnaissance personnel of the company to repeatedly adopt such means as close observation, disguised reconnaissance, and pretend inquiry on the front of the Tian Phong area for more than 20 kilometers, went deep into the forefront to survey the terrain, collected the enemy's situation, and got in touch with the Vietnamese guerrillas in Tian Phong, making full use of the superiority of the Vietnamese guerrillas, letting them lead the way as guides, and making full use of the internal line and eyeline to fully understand and grasp the enemy's situation. On this basis, we have organized and convened meetings of cadres and backbone cadres on many occasions to conduct comprehensive analysis of various situations, conscientiously study them, repeatedly deliberate them, and confirm them in many ways, so as to accurately grasp the enemy's situation and finally determine the operational plan and specific fighting methods for the surprise attack on Huaga, Tiyan Laozhai, and Xinzhai, and for capturing prisoners. On 25 February, the reconnaissance brigade reviewed and reported to Kunming for approval of our company's battle plan.

Based on the enemy situation, terrain and mission, our company carefully selected personnel for combat grouping. One group of 18 people in the Huaga attack and capture group was responsible for company commander Sun Yingpei and staff officer Wang Wenwen; the second group of 12 people in the Tiyan Laozhai attack and capture group was responsible for instructor Zhao Qiujiang; 12 people in the three groups of Xinzhai attack and capture group, which was responsible for staff officer Zhang Qirui; 6 people in the receiving group, and Wang Chuanzhi, deputy company commander; and 10 people in the combat command and rescue group, headed by Liu Weiguo. At the same time, the reconnaissance brigade also dispatched a company of 30 people to the border line to take on mobile combat tasks such as front-line support and rescue of the wounded.

In view of the topographical characteristics of the target and the law of personnel activities, each attack and capture group conducted a week-long simulation training according to 10 specific actions, such as receiving the enemy, reconnaissance, entering the house, capturing, binding, searching, gaging, cleaning the battlefield, laying mines, and evacuating, and selecting similar terrain and setting up similar enemy situations. By 15:00 on March 1, all preparations for the battle were in place.

At 17:00 on March 1, we set off from Tianpeng and marched along the saddle and mill on the west side of Changhuo Mountain, in the order of Huaga attacking the capture group, The Tiyan Laozhai attacking the capture group, the Xinzhai attacking the capture group, the command and rescue group, and the receiving group. In order to facilitate observation and command, I led Li Lianlong, the leader of the Vietnamese guerrilla group, to the forefront of the troops; first, it was convenient for commanding the troops to select a route of march; second, it was convenient for them to observe and judge the enemy's situation, terrain, and social conditions on the spot; and third, I could closely follow the whereabouts of the guide, the Vietnamese guerrilla leader Li Lianlong, to prevent being deceived and prevent him from leading the troops into the enemy's ambush circle. At 20:20, the groups entered the area near Odaba, southeast of Monument No. 19. In order not to expose the operational attempts and to ensure the suddenness of the attack and capture, I took advantage of the rest time of the officers and men on the way to the enemy, and summoned the heads of the various groups to further clarify the tasks, and repeatedly emphasized several problems that should be paid attention to in the engagement of the enemy. At 21:00, the groups continued to approach the targets. At 21:50, I led the command ambulance team to occupy the command position at Height 1167, southeast of Monument 19. At 23:30, after passing through the saddle on the northeast side of the enemy camp's Panshan position, the Huaga attacked and captured the group and continued to approach Huaga, reaching the predetermined position at 23:40; at 23:50, the receiving group arrived at the predetermined position, occupied the terrain in time, and ordered Wang Guanghao, the leader of the sapper squad, to set up anti-infantry mines at a distance of 50 meters on the path leading to Yingpanshan. At 0:30 on the 2nd, the Attack and Capture Groups of Tiyan Laozhai and Xinzhai respectively entered the predetermined position. At 0:35 a.m., all the reports of each group entered the predetermined position according to the battle plan and made all preparations for the battle. At 1:05 a.m., the second and third groups reported that the enemy was aware and vigilant, and had sent additional sentries to strengthen patrols, so that it was not appropriate for us to surprise and capture prisoners. In order to ensure the success of one group of prisoners, I ordered the second and third groups to retreat covertly. At 1:10 a.m., the Huaga Capture Group, with the cooperation of its guides, began to approach the enemy's house. In order not to be detected by the enemy, they used the pig bones they carried to lure the dogs in the village not to bite, and used the sound of running water as a cover to carry out close reconnaissance, found the exact location of the enemy's house, and found that there was a fire in the house. At this time, the people of Huaga Village were drinking and quarreling, and the enemies who were guarding the highlands nearby were singing. At 2:15 a.m., an enemy entered the room humming a minor tune and closed the door casually, perhaps an enemy sentry entering the room to sleep or going out to visit the door and come back. At this time, Company Commander Sun Yingpei resolutely ordered Hua Ga to attack the capture group on the one hand, pay attention to concealment, try not to expose our intentions, and on the other hand, get close to the enemy's house as soon as possible to attack and capture prisoners. At 2:30 a.m., when they reached more than 20 meters away from the enemy's house, Zhang Zhubing, the fourth squad leader, Zhang Xinxian, the sixth squad leader, and others quickly jumped up, and at the same time kicked open the door with their feet and rushed into the room. The 4 enemies in the room, wearing shorts and naked, were dumbfounded. Zhang Zhubing, the fourth squad leader, pounced on the bed with one arrow step at a time, and pressed his hands to the two enemies who were preparing to sleep. The sixth squad leader Zhang Xinxian and the deputy squad leader Miao Jinbo also single-handedly hugged 1 enemy. The 2 enemies held by Zhang Zhubing struggled desperately, and 1 broke free and reached for the gun. Xie Bing's eyes were bright and fast, and shunshi slammed the enemy's wrist with a flashlight, and the enemy turned to flee with his shrunken hand, just in time to collide head-on with another warrior, and a punch knocked the enemy to the ground. The company commander, Staff Sergeant Wang and 12 others also quickly rushed into the room to assist the trappers in binding. After 6 minutes of fierce fighting, the enemy was subdued. At this time, 60-70 ordinary people in Huaga Village surrounded the house and prevented me from evacuating. Sun Yingpei, the company commander, immediately asked the guide to shout at the people, properly disperse them, and quickly organize the evacuation. When I evacuated 100 meters from the Hua Ga attack capture group, the Vietnamese troops in the 3 nearby highlands fired flares, shot at me, and organized a pursuit, at this time, Company Commander Sun Yingpei promptly directed our capture group personnel to set mines at the main intersection while withdrawing. At 3:40 a.m., the Huaga Raiders escorted the four captives to our command position. I checked the captives one by one, touched them with my hands from head to bottom, and for greater safety, I stepped up the four personnel around me to take custody. At this time, the enemy pursuers stepped on the mines set up by our company, killing 2 on the spot, and the rest stopped pursuing. At the same time, the enemies of Yingpanshan, Tiyan Old Village, and Xinzhai heard the sound of Huaga gunshots, which aroused alarm and blindly shot at me. In the early morning of March 2, the enemy was still in pursuit, and the enemy shells could come at any time, but the officers and men were seriously exhausted due to continuous marching and fighting, and they were tired and could hardly walk. In order to ensure that not a single soldier was left behind, I walked at the end of the unit, and with my exemplary role and advantages in political work, encouraged and infected the officers and men to persist in retreating, and at 7:30 a.m., the groups withdrew safely to the territory.

In this battle, our company did not fire a single shot or injure a single person, and then captured all four Vietnamese troops in the barracks and safely escorted them back to the border; the survey was said to be a classic example of reconnaissance attacks and prisoner-and-take operations, which shocked the entire border front line and created a record of the first reconnaissance company of the "Two Mountains" reconnaissance operation capturing the enemy at one time; so far, three firsts have been created: that is, the number of enemies captured by the reconnaissance company of the 129th Division is the first; the number of enemies captured by the reconnaissance detachment of the 43rd Army is the first; and the number of enemies captured by the reconnaissance detachment of the Wuhan Military Region is the first. Afterwards, the enemy exclaimed on the radio: "A special Chinese force from the Central Plains arrived at the border of Ho Xuan Province in Vietnam less than 20 days ago, and captured 4 of our border guards at a time, which was a heavy blow to our army." At the same time, the 43rd Army, the Kunming Military Region, and the Wuhan Military Region sent congratulatory telegrams in a timely manner and presented pennants. The pennants presented by the 43rd Army are: Surprise Attack huaga and capture four enemies; the pennants presented by the Wuhan Military Region are: Heroic Tiger Courage, Wei Zhen Southern Xinjiang; And the pennants presented by the Kunming Military Region are: Zhi Yong Scout, Meritorious Achievements in the Two Mountains.

There are many experiences worth summing up in this battle, which can be summed up as follows: The enemy's situation was accurately felt; the guide made good use of it; the method of using pork bones to prevent the enemy's dog from biting and barking was practical; (4) it penetrated into the enemy's territory for more than 30 kilometers and used the night attack to capture prisoners with good concealment; (5) when the second and third groups changed due to the enemy's situation, they could decisively order and evacuate in time, which not only avoided blindly fighting with the enemy, but also covered the attack and capture operation of one group; (6) When a group of prisoners was successful, it adopted the advantages of flexible combat and political work, and quickly withdrew and got rid of the entanglement of the enemy's common people (7) All the officers and men participating in the battle were particularly able to endure hardships, were particularly capable of fighting, were not afraid of bloodshed and sacrifice, and dared to strive for victory; (8) the command was flexible and decisive, and the various groups cooperated with each other and coordinated in place, so they fought a beautiful big victory.
