Definition 1:

Oolong tea is a general term for semi-fermented tea, and the six major types of tea in China are distinguished according to the severity of fermentation, including unfermented green tea, micro-fermented yellow tea, white tea, fully fermented black tea and post-fermented black tea.

There is also a huge span between micro-fermentation and full fermentation, which we call semi-fermentation. And the tea with fermentation within this category, we can generally classify it as the rank of oolong tea.
