Following the successful performance of the "Home Road I. Parents' Awakening" scenario concert and the enthusiastic response from all walks of life, the new scene concert "Family Road II. Awakening" created by the Yuexi Culture Peak Cheyun Tianya Orchestra will be grandly performed at the Grandview Performing Arts Theater in Guangzhou on the evening of December 30.

This situational concert will take the loss of family, career and personal values faced by real people as the topic, take the inner monologue and the dialogue with the wise man as the clue, use guqin music and more Chinese and Western art forms and stage expression techniques to run through, fuse guqin, flute, cello, percussion, modern dance and language art, etc. in one furnace, presented in four-act scenario-like scenes, expressing the characters' consciousness activities in the face of real problems from introspection to discovery, from the hole to the transformation of the entire reversal process, revealing how individuals in the new era remember themselves, Break through the pattern and live out the new "family road" spirit of freedom.

Music creation ideas
The overall music part is based on the four-act scenario script of "Family Road II: Awakening", which sets up six parts: the prologue opening, the first act of introspection, the second act of discovery, the third act of insight, the fourth act of metamorphosis and the epilogue awakening.
Through the mixing and matching of Eastern and Western instrumental music and the cross-border expression of various stage arts, the theme conveyed by each act is interpreted. For example, from "Act I Introspection" through "Act II Discovery" to "Act III Insight", different instruments will be used to represent each theme, and some other instruments will be used as the soundtrack according to the change of mood of each theme. In the "Fourth Act Metamorphosis" section, we present each emotion with a specific instrument and a specific dance.
In the use of musical styles, we will focus on the innovative expression of classical music styles. With the exception of adaptations of traditional repertoire, much of the music is original or improvised. Improvisation, in particular, is shocking when the creativity that erupts when various elements collide together.
At the beginning of the prologue, we composed and adapted the two ancient songs of "Shenren Chang" and "Taikoo Relics", and used drums to unite everyone's hearts, and used flutes, pianos and cellos to render time and space.
At the end of the awakening, we will adapt the ancient song of "Flowing Water", accompanied by double guqin, flute, cello and drum. What we want to express is not the original meaning of the traditional "Flowing Water", the traditional "Flowing Water" depicts the artistic conception of a mountain flowing water meeting a zhiyin. But here, what we want to express is the dialogue and discernment between the awakened and unawakened states; the use of the douqin to express the contradictions and struggles of the characters, the drum to express the breakthrough of emotions, and the cello to express the sublimation of the artistic conception.

Wu Keliang
Flute player of Feng Che Yun Tianya Orchestra, director of Guangdong Bamboo Flute Professional Committee, designated star judge of Huadu Division of Little Golden Bell Music Competition. He has won various awards such as the Gold Medal of the Professional Group of the China Bamboo Flute National Invitational Competition.
