On August 28, the first "Green Dot Competition" program review meeting sponsored by the China Urban Planning Society, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Sichuan Province, and the Suining Municipal People's Government was held in Suining City, Sichuan Province. A total of 21 universities, 140 instructors and 606 students participated in the competition. After four months of hard work by participating teachers and students, a total of 106 design works were received for the competition. After careful review by experts, 56 works were awarded.
The first "Green Dot Competition" takes the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy proposed in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as the basic purpose, and determines the theme as "Rural Revitalization - Settlement Renewal", and the main content is rural planning and design.
Invited by the Suining Municipal People's Government, in January this year, the society organized experts and Suining municipal leaders and relevant departments to go deep into the village site to conduct on-site investigation and comparison, and finally determined the six planning and design bases of the competition, namely Yujiagou Village, Fuxing Town, Shehong County, Guanchang Village, Zhuo tube well town, Daying County, Niujiaogou Village, Dashi Town, Pengxi County, Fenghuangzui Village, Hesha Town, Chuanshan District, Yinhe Village, Huilong Town, Anju District, and Yunling Community, Hedong New District.
These six villages have their own characteristics, and have a certain typical significance, the recent local government also has a plan for accurate poverty alleviation, transformation and construction, hoping to collect new ideas for the renewal and transformation of rural settlements through this competition, and provide practical suggestions for the specific construction work of the local government in the next step that meets the actual needs of the local government. After the competition, the local government authorities will invite relevant excellent program design teams to participate in the follow-up detailed design and construction implementation work, and turn ideas and ideas into the reality of village construction.
At the same time, this competition provides a teaching practice platform for colleges and universities, provides students with opportunities for design practice and exchange, and allows colleges and universities to participate more deeply in the beautiful countryside and green development of the western region and contribute their own strength.
The competition invited the domestic first-class urban and rural planning, architecture and other related majors of college teams to participate, in line with the pragmatic, scientific and rigorous attitude, conscientiously implement the requirements of the central government on rural revitalization, respect the natural background, highlight regional characteristics, inherit local culture, advocate solving practical problems, serving rural needs, ensuring that farmers benefit from the core position, fully consider the actual needs of local villagers, adapt to local production, lifestyle, can not be separated from reality, emphasize the application of technology, oppose formalism and extravagance and waste, Emphasize the inheritance of local construction skills and the cultivation of local talents.
The jury scored from five aspects: investigation and analysis, theme understanding, program creativity, graphic expression and operability. In the end, after two rounds of evaluation, six first prizes, twelve second prizes, eighteen third prizes and 20 special prizes were selected. At the same time, in the first, second and third prizes, schools with more than three award-winning works will receive the Excellent Organization Award.
