According to FIFA arrangements, the 2021 FIFA eNations Cup (FIFA Esports National Cup) continental qualifiers will be held from April 30 to May 2. The two stages of the selection tournament adopt the 1V1 mode of players, the online match is a one-game win-loss system, the offline game is a three-game best-of-two system, 64 players are dueling in pairs, the winner is promoted, the loser is eliminated, and the 7 players who finally break through will be selected for the Training Camp of the Chinese National E-sports Football Team to prepare for the FIFA Asia-Pacific Qualifiers held at the end of this month.
Founded in October 2017, Changchun Yatai E-sports Team has competed in e-sports competitions for many times in the past four years, winning the second place in the 2018 Chinese Super League (CEFL) S3 season, the runner-up of the 2019 FIFA Online4 International Grand Prix, the runner-up of the first eCSL Championship Road in 2020, and the first time in the professional e-sports arena, it reached the quarterfinals of the 2019 FCC Professional Champions Cup. In addition, it has also trained a number of outstanding professional players, such as Yao Yaxun, the captain of the professional team Manchester City e-sports, Geng Liang, the captain of the Newbee team, and Luan Pu and Lu Ying, the main players of the Wolves Weibo team, all from the Changchun Yatai e-sports team.
The 2021 FIFA Esports Nations Cup will be held in Denmark this summer, where twenty-four teams from all continents will compete for the trophy, which symbolizes the highest honor of football esports. The Asia Pacific Qualifiers will be divided into two groups, with the top three finishers qualifying for five PLACEs in the FIFA Esports Nations Cup.
