In the past ten years, because the employment situation of college students is not good, many parents have been reluctant to let their children enter the university, so this kind of argument is also common, like to dig to the bottom of the matter, I will talk about my views today.
Throughout history, most of the people in power have been people who have read poetry books, so why does this poem say that students are useless?
Let's first look at what Wikipedia said: this poem was written by the Qing Dynasty poet Huang Jingren, and the whole poem was mainly written for personal poverty and resentment, handsome but not deep.

Are books useless, or are people useless?
As the name suggests, books refer to knowledge, so is knowledge useless, or is people useless?
I consulted the relevant information, the authors Huang Jingren and Hong Liangji and called "Erjun", one of the seven sons of Biling, Hong Liangji in Qianlong fifty-five years (1790), high school list, teaching Hanlin Academy editing. Although he later went to the wilderness because he offended the powerful, he was not poor.
Hong Liangji and he are good friends, learning the same knowledge, reading the same books, high school rankings, which shows that there is no problem with the knowledge itself, and the problem is Huang Jingren.

Is "uselessness a student" caused by the times, or is there another reason?
The author lived during the Qianlong period, the prosperous era of Kangqian was the most prosperous time of the Qing Dynasty, even if there was a decline during the Qianlong period, but the situation was not chaotic to such a point, and there was no other reason for the work in this poem, then the uselessness of this scholar was not caused by the situation.
"Nine out of ten people are white-eyed, and useless are bookworms", as can be seen from this poem, it is the author who feels that he has been repeatedly blinded, so he wrote such a sloppy poem.
In the modern workplace, it can be seen as the author's personal reasons, resulting in his twenty years of age and nothing, poor and poor, this poem is actually only the author's nostalgia.

Why does the author not meet the talent?
I think there are three reasons why the author's huai cai did not meet:
First, poetics Li Bai.
Li Bai was a life of debauchery, his career was not good, he traveled through the rivers and lakes, relying on writing poetry to express emotions and express dissatisfaction, he had a drunken fan of paper and gold in his life, but the most important thing was that Li Bai was not short of money.

Although Huang Jingren is a scholar and has a grandmother to enlighten him from childhood, his father is not powerful, and his family is poor from childhood, and it is okay to learn Li Bai's poems, but he cannot learn to live a life.
Second, do not understand the economy.
The economy here does not only refer to making money and managing money, but to career management.
Evidence 1: In the twenty-ninth year of Qianlong (1764), his brother Huang Gengling died. In the same year, he participated in the boy examination and ranked first, and was admired by Pan Ke, the prefect of Changzhou, and Wang Zusu of Zhixian county of Wujin County.
Since he has received the appreciation of Zhi County and is quite talented in the local area, he should work hard, study hard, take the exam seriously, and become a civil servant first. The ancient master-apprentice system was lifelong, with the help of Zhixian County, his career path went more smoothly, and Zhixian was also happy to accept a talented apprentice, and there would be help in the official field in the future.
But he didn't!
Evidence two: In the spring of the thirty-fifth year of Qianlong (1770), he climbed Hengshan Mountain. Xia, back to Changzhou. In the autumn, he participated in the Jiangning Township Examination, and in the same year Shao Qitao died, and Huang Jingren thought that his confidant was dead and that there was no nostalgia in the world, so he began to swim.
His family is poor, there are old and young, since he is a reader, he must take the road, but Huang Jingren gave up all the wandering rivers and lakes because of the death of his friend, even in modern times, this is not a good example, eighty percent of them will be tied to the hat of no sense of responsibility.
Third, frequent job hopping.
In 1769, he became a guest of Wang Taiyue.
In 1771, he became a guest of shen yefu, the prefect of Taiping.
In 1772, he became Zhu Yun's guest of honor.
In 1775, he lectured at Shouzhou Zhengyang Academy.
In 1776, he was appointed as the bookmark official of Wu Yingdian and served as the chief bo.
In 1781, Bi Yuan assisted him as a county magistrate.
He died on 25 May 1783.
Looking at this work experience, the author has neither a clear career goal nor a decent career plan, lives a very casual life, is still changing jobs two years before his death, does not follow a master to the end, does not make good money, and spends a lot of time traveling.
Therefore, people who take it out of context to preach that "one hundred useless are students" are irresponsible, and the fundamental reason why heroes are useless is actually the three reasons why I have just analyzed the author's talent.

Is it really bad for college students to graduate now?
Many examples aside, let's look at Alibaba's eighteen arhats: Ma Yun graduated from Hangzhou Normal University, Sun Tongyu graduated from Zhejiang Gongshang University, Cai Chongxin is even more powerful, Yale University Bachelor of Economics and Yale Law School Juris Doctor degree, Peng Lei is also a graduate of Zhejiang Gongshang University.
There is also Tong Wenhong, a legendary figure who has been circulating on the Internet for a long time and has been counterattacked from the grassroots, all the way from Ali's front desk to vice president, and she graduated from Zhejiang University, a first-class university in China.
A recent college graduate may be paid less than a skilled assembly line worker, but ten years from now, twenty years from now, can you estimate how much compound interest knowledge there will be?
Many college students who have achieved corporate executives or have reached the management level tell us that knowledge can give you the energy to get ahead, and it can also give you an excuse to have a low eye, and the variable in the middle is people.
If you can apply what you have learned and combine knowledge and action, even if you can't become a person like Wang Yangming, at least you can make yourself and your family live without worry.
"There is a house of gold in the book" is reasonable, did not see gold, is your ability problem, learn to learn efficiently, learn to apply is what we adults should do, I advise individual advocates of the uselessness of reading, do not take the next generation out of context.
