On September 25th, the Seminar on the Poetry Drama "Popularizing The Principles of Aesthetics" was held at the National Library of China, sponsored by the Aesthetics Professional Committee of the Beijing Philosophical Society. Experts and scholars attending the meeting focused on qiu Weijie's poetry drama "Principles of Popularizing Aesthetics", and conducted heated discussions on the artistry, ideological and influence of poetry drama, the essence, function and task of popularizing aesthetics, the current situation and problems of popularizing aesthetics, the complete architecture of popularizing aesthetics education and dissemination, and the methods and ways of popularizing aesthetics implementation. This is another annual event following the "Seminar on Popularizing the Principles of Aesthetics" held by the Aesthetics Professional Committee of the Beijing Philosophical Society in 2020 at the National Library.

The seminar was divided into two parts, and in the morning, the poetry drama was watched in the Guotu Theater, and the audience came in and gathered together. Due to the limited number of movie tickets limited by the epidemic prevention and control, many viewers had to leave with regret. The afternoon seminar was held at the Museum of Classics of the National Library of China, and was presided over by Shi Hong, professor of the School of Political Science and Law of Capital Normal University and secretary general of the Aesthetics Professional Committee of the Beijing Philosophical Society.

Poetry and drama director and screenwriter Qiu Weijie first spoke, calling on everyone to have a sense of the problems of the times, to look at the urgent needs of popularizing the development of aesthetics from the overall situation of changes in the international situation and the needs of the country, and to quietly think about the logical basis of Chinese cultural self-confidence. Qiu Weijie first pointed out that aesthetics should be combat effectiveness, productivity, and the core elements of demand development. The unity of demand may bring us the unity of the aesthetic standards of production industry and production, resulting in a narrowing of the market, rather than expanding the market. Under the thinking of the aesthetics of return, we need to explore some aspects of oriental quality. The poetry drama "Principles of Popularizing Aesthetics" is an exploration in the art field adhering to the development path of popularizing aesthetic quality, and popularizing aesthetics is also a practical expression of the concept of the unity of knowledge and action, which hides a broad space for practice. Secondly, Qiu Weijie pointed out that the popularization of aesthetics he practiced is a systematic and rigorous project, and he established the Popularization of Aesthetics Public Welfare Foundation in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province very early to promote the cause of popularizing aesthetics and support the research, education and dissemination of popularized aesthetics, and he is also willing to dedicate his life's energy to the construction of the discipline of popularizing aesthetics.

Wang Xuxiao, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Philosophy of Chinese Min University, pointed out that Qiu Weijie's use of poetry and drama as a way to popularize aesthetics is an innovative attempt. She believes that popularization must have methods and ways, and agrees with the director's interpretation of the point of view - "to limit an iceberg (academic work) and a volcano (poetry and literature) to a candy box (stage), both artistic and wonderful." After watching the film, she felt a lot, thinking that this attempt was for the theme of aesthetics, and to praise those who did aesthetics and are always actively doing it now. She also took her own aesthetic practice work as an example and called on everyone to actively participate in the popularization of aesthetics to better serve the society.
Inspired by the theme of the Seminar on Popularizing Aesthetics, Professor Wang Wenge of the Grammar School of the North China University of Technology proposed the idea of unifying perception and common knowledge to form true knowledge, starting from the specific phenomenon of "natural sounds". With true knowledge, there is true action, and true action is embodied in the appreciation, respect and conformity to nature. The meaning and path of our aesthetic popularization lies in turning abstraction into concreteness, and common sense into true knowledge, so as to lead to the unity of knowledge and action.
Tang Hua, a professor in the Chinese Language Teaching and Research Department of Beijing Foreign Affairs University, lamented that after watching the poetry and drama, he felt very deeply, believing that the whole drama reflected a romantic style and reflected the brilliance of human nature, which is a necessary way for aesthetic development. She believes that the feeling of poetry and drama is soft, integrating the wisdom of the source of Chinese and Western philosophy, combining the elements of traditional stage and Western drama, and exploring the pursuit of light and beauty.
Cheng Guangyun, a professor in the Department of Philosophy at the School of Political Science and Law of Capital Normal University, also believes that "popularizing aesthetics is a new aesthetic paradigm". At the same time, he came to watch the play with the expectation that "how can an academic work be moved to the stage", and also asked the accompanying movie students, and got a good response. Professor Cheng Guangyun, whose main business is the study of philosophy, explores the relationship between philosophy and drama, believing that the two are born together, and the earliest philosophy is presented in the form of poetry rather than drama, "between philosophy and drama they share a dialogue problem", to Aristotle when the dialogue has a chorus part, but drama and chorus also have an essential difference. Chorus is homogeneous, drama is heterogeneous, and there needs to be dramatic conflict.
Professor Wei Jiachuan of the College of Literature of Capital Normal University explores the top-level design and underlying code of the poetry drama "Principles of Universal Aesthetics" from the perspective of the beauty of sensibility to the art of induction. He examined the charm and artistic tension of poetry and drama from the four dimensions of "reviving the academic and artistic places in the poetic language information and stage performances of poetry and drama", "understanding the original intention and true colors of people and human beings in beauty and aesthetics", "the beautiful teenager and beautiful girl of the martial god", and "the wine is my hometown, I do not want to be in a foreign land".
Zhang Guangtian, a professor and artist at the School of Experimental Art of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, agrees with Professor Yang Xuegong and Professor Cheng Guangyun that popularizing aesthetics is not first of all a promotion work, but a new aesthetic. Beauty is a priori, originally beauty is talent, it is about ontology, and practice is about popularization and dissemination, these two issues should be separated. We must return to the vision of idealistic aesthetics, and at the same time we must discover the methods of various possibilities in practical life, and have a broader aesthetic methodology. Zhang Guangtian believes that after we watch the poetry drama "Popularizing Aesthetic Principles", we have some inspiration and active thinking, so it has promoted our research work. Qiu Weijie's poetry and drama is precisely to open up a new situation for us to do scholarship in a new way.
Zhang Lei, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Foreign Languages of China University of Political Science and Law, made a meticulous interpretation of the music in this poetic drama, he took out the important musical and sound elements in the play for a detailed text analysis, and interpreted the musical symbols in the poem with the texture experience of watching this poetic drama. Zhang Lei found that when Qiu Weijie entered the art field, it really brought us a great artistic feeling. He believes that the poetry drama "Popularizing Aesthetic Principles" from character setting to plot advancement, all the music design layouts are well conceived and exquisite.
Song Shengquan, associate professor of the College of Letters of Chinese Min University, talked about his feelings about watching the drama, claiming that he was particularly shocked after watching the play, believing that watching the drama was a process of deprivation and recovery. Yi Xiaoming, professor and doctoral supervisor of the College of Liberal Arts of Capital Normal University, pointed out that Qiu Weijie's work is extremely sensitive to the times, and he has grasped the leading role of China and the United States in our time. The emergence of the poetic drama "Universal Aesthetic Principles" is not only a dramatic event, a literary event, but also an academic event, and is a very important benchmark in our lives. Professor Yi Xiaoming systematically combed through shakespeare, Aristotle and other manifestations of truth, and believed that the poetry drama "Principles of Universal Aesthetics" was full of truth. He also believes that Qiu Weijie can make this kind of cross-border, which is something that many scholars do not have the ability to act to do, which is a very remarkable event, which represents the future trend of integration in various fields.
Gao Tianchen, director of Wudang Chuanpai Culture Communication Co., Ltd., believes that Chinese aesthetics focus on experientiality and pay attention to a "pass" word. At the same time, Jiao Jian believes that the diversity of musical themes enriches the hierarchical beauty of the plot, the uniqueness of the theme music highlights the three-dimensional sense of poetry and drama; the collision of modernity and tradition highlights the positive energy of the times; the unique temperament of national music, the spiritual integrity of the characters shaped, and the grandeur of the symphony set off the climax of the poetry drama.
Guo Xiaoxia, a doctoral student at the College of Literature of Capital Normal University, briefly sorted out the academic historical context of modern Chinese aesthetics, and believed that the research of modern Chinese aesthetics has become increasingly rich and in-depth, at the same time, the way of thinking of research has also undergone great changes, and the spirit of research has also been sublimated.
Shen Xiangyu, a doctoral student at the College of Literature of Capital Normal University, analyzed that Plato's aesthetic concept first emphasized witnessing divine will, and secondly, valued the position of people. Li Jiawei, a doctoral student at the School of Philosophy of Chinese Min University, believes that poetry and drama present academic works in the form of experimental dramas, depicting the seven samurai searching for a complete martial god and eventually returning to their spiritual homeland, and under the leadership of the god of beauty, they reached the adventure of "seven virtues of martial arts", reflecting the movement and development of aesthetics itself. Popularize aesthetics to reconstruct aesthetics with the pursuit of returning to the original heart, to find back the lost sensibility of people with new aesthetics, to restore people's free will, and to stimulate people's subjective ability.
