A few days ago, Nanchang Aixi Lake Tunnel Management Center, Huxi Phase IV and Huzhong Phase II successfully completed the capping. At this point, the civil engineering works of the first phase of Huxi, Huzhong and Hudong have all been completed, and the tunnel has been penetrated from Huxi to Hudong; the last ground wall of Hudong Phase II has been completed, and the entire line of enclosure structure has been smoothly closed, and the main structure construction has been officially transferred. The construction has continuously broken through key nodes, laying a solid foundation for the opening of the Aixi Lake Tunnel on schedule.
According to the person in charge of the contractor China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the Aixi Lake Tunnel Project is a key project in Jiangxi Province and the first double-decker joint tunnel in Jiangxi Province, with a highway tunnel on the upper level and a long-term rapid public transport pipe corridor on the lower level. The construction of the Aixi Lake Tunnel will realize the effective connection between the first ring road and the second ring road in Nanchang City, and improve the urban skeleton road network. The entire project is expected to complete the full line of mechanical and electrical decoration in mid-December this year, and strive to open to traffic before the Spring Festival in 2022.
